Regarding the issuance of the Medical Waste Management Regulation

THE MINISTER OF HEALTH
Pursuant to Decree No. 49/2003/NĐ-CP dated May 15, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;
Pursuant to the Environmental Protection Law dated November 29, 2005.
At the proposal of the Director of the Treatment Department, the Director of the Preventive Medicine Department of Vietnam, and the Director of the Legal Affairs Department - Ministry of Health,
DECISION:
Article 1. The Medical Waste Management Regulation is hereby promulgated together with this Decision.
Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
Repeals Decision No. 2575/1999/QĐ-BYT dated August 27, 1999 of the Minister of Health on the Issuance of the Medical Waste Management Regulation.
Article 3. The Heads of the Office, Heads of Departments, Directors of Centers, Inspectors of the Ministry of Health; Directors of Provincial Health Services under central cities and provinces; Directors of hospitals and institutes under the Ministry of Health; Deans of health training institutions; Heads of health sectors, sectors responsible for private facilities, and Heads of related units are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
