Decision No. 431/2003/QĐ-BGTVT on the List of Types of Seagoing Vessels and the Quantity of Each Type to be Built in Vietnam in 2003

DECISION

ON THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE LIST OF TYPES AND QUANTITIES OF SHIPS BUILT IN VIETNAM IN 2003

MINISTER OF TRANSPORTATION

Pursuant to the Government Decree No. 22/CP dated March 22, 1994 on the tasks, powers, responsibilities for state management and organizational structure of the Ministry of Transportation;

Pursuant to the Government Decree No. 99/1998/NĐ-CP dated November 28, 1998 on ship management;

Pursuant to the Prime Minister's Circular No. 123/CP-CN dated January 29, 2003 regarding preferential loan implementation for domestic shipbuilding plans;

Based on the capacity of Vietnam Ship Industry Corporation in 2003, the registration plan for ships built domestically by ship owners in 2003, and the consensus reached at a meeting held on December 24, 2002 regarding the implementation plan for domestic shipbuilding in 2003;

At the proposal of the Director of Legal Affairs - Transport Department and the Director of Science and Technology Department;

DECIDES:

Article 1:

1. To announce herewith attached to this Decision the List of types and quantities of ships built domestically in 2003.

2. The list mentioned in Clause 1 of this Article may be adjusted or supplemented by the end of Quarter III, 2003 to meet actual production and business needs of transport enterprises.

Article 2: This Decision takes effect from the date of issuance.

Article 3: The Director of the Ministry's Office, Directors of Departments: Legal Affairs - Transport, Planning - Investment, Science - Technology, Finance - Accounting, Heads of Vietnam Maritime Administration, Vietnam Ship Inspection Bureau, Vietnam Inland Waterways Administration, General Directors of Vietnam Ship Industry Corporation, Vietnam Oceanic Corporation, Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation, Managers of ship-owning enterprises, Heads of relevant agencies, units, and individuals are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
