Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of the districts: Hung Nguen, Nghi Loc
to expand the administrative boundary of Vinh City; establishing Vinh Tan Wardunder Vinh City, Nghe An Province
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An Province.

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Adjusting the administrative boundaries of the districts: Hung Nguen, Nghi Loc to expand the administrative boundary of Vinh City; establishing Vinh Tan Ward under Vinh City, Nghe An Province as follows:

DECREE:

Article 1. 1. Adjusting 3,115.63 hectares of natural area and 29,304 population of Nghi Loc District (including the entire natural area and population of the communes: Nghi Kim, Nghi Duc, Nghi Lien, Nghi An); 626.91 hectares of natural area and 9,138 population of Hung Nguen District (including the entire natural area and population of Hung Chinh Commune; 174 hectares of natural area and 3,043 population of Hung Thinh Commune) to be managed by Vinh City.

Vinh City has 10,498.39 hectares of natural area and 282,981 population.

The administrative boundary of Vinh City: East borders Ha Tinh Province; West and South border Hung Nguen District; North border Nghi Loc District.

2. Establishing Vinh Tan Ward under Vinh City

Establishing Vinh Tan Ward under Vinh City based on the entire 338.18 hectares of natural area and 8,014 population of Vinh Tan Commune; 174 hectares of natural area and 3,043 population (the part of natural area and population of Hung Thinh Commune adjusted to Vinh City).

Vinh Tan Ward has 512.18 hectares of natural area and 11,057 population.

The administrative boundary of Vinh Tan Ward: East borders Trung Do Ward; West borders Hung Chinh Commune, Hung Nguen District; South borders Hung Loi and Hung Thinh Communes, Hung Nguen District; North borders Hong Son and Cu Nam Wards.

- After adjusting the administrative boundaries to expand Vinh City and establish Vinh Tan Ward:

Vinh City has 10,498.39 hectares of natural area and 282,981 population, with 25 subordinate administrative units, including the wards: Ben Thuy, Cu Nam, Dong Vinh, Doi Cung, Ha Huy Tap, Hong Son, Hung Binh, Hung Dung, Hung Phuc, Le Loi, Le Mao, Quan Bau, Quang Trung, Truong Thi, Trung Do, Vinh Tan and the communes: Nghi Phu, Hung Loc, Nghi Kim, Hung Dong, Hung Hoa, Nghi Lien, Nghi An, Nghi Duc, Hung Chinh.

- Hung Thinh Commune remains with 435.60 hectares of natural area and 4,102 population.

Hung Nguen District remains with 15,920.24 hectares of natural area and 114,210 population, with 22 subordinate administrative units, including the communes: Hung Linh, Hung Long, Hung Xa, Hung Xuan, Hung Lam, Hung Phu, Hung Khanh, Hung Nhan, Hung Chau, Hung Loi, Hung Phuc, Hung My, Hung Tien, Hung Thang, Hung Thong, Hung Tan, Hung Dao, Hung Tay, Hung Yen, Hung Trung, Hung Thinh and the town of Hung Nguen.

Nghi Loc District remains with 34,809.60 hectares of natural area and 195,847 population, with 30 subordinate administrative units, including the communes: Nghi Van, Nghi Kieu, Nghi Lam, Nghi Yen, Nghi Cong Nam, Nghi Cong Bac, Nghi Hung, Nghi Phuong, Nghi Thuan, Nghi Hoa, Nghi Dien, Nghi Van, Nghi Trung, Nghi Long, Nghi Quang, Nghi Phong, Nghi Thai, Phuc Tho, Nghi Xuan, Nghi Thach, Nghi Dong, Nghi Tien, Nghi The, Nghi Khanh, Nghi Hop, Nghi Xa, Nghi Thinh, Nghi My, Nghi Truong and the town of Quan Hanh.

This Decree takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are abolished.

Article 2. The Minister of Home Affairs, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An Province, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.

Article 3. The Minister of Interior, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An Province, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
