Decree No. 46/2001/NĐ-CP Regarding the Adjustment of Administrative Boundaries of Hòa Thành District to Expand Tây Ninh City, Establishing New Wards in Tây Ninh City, and Establishing Thạnh Bắc Commune in Tân Biên District, Tây Ninh Province.

DECREE

Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of Hoa Thanh district to expand Tay Ninh city, establish wards under Tay Ninh city, and establish Thanh Bac commune under Tan Bien district, Tay Ninh province

GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;

Considering the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province and the Minister, Head of the Civil Service Organization Department -of the Government;

DECISION:

Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries of Hoa Thanh district are adjusted to expand Tay Ninh city, establish wards under Tay Ninh city, and establish communes under Tan Bien district, Tay Ninh province as follows:

1. Adjusting the administrative boundaries to expand Tay Ninh city based on incorporating the entire natural area and population of the communes: Tan Binh, Ninh Son, Ninh Thanh, Thanh Tan, Hiep Ninh, and 139 hectares of natural area with 7,815 residents of Hiep Tay commune under Hoa Thanh district.

2. Establishing wards under Tay Ninh city as follows:

a) Establishing Ward IV under Tay Ninh city based on 139 hectares of natural area and 7,815 residents of Thanh Tan commune (the part incorporated into the city); 49 hectares of natural area and 3,408 residents of Hiep Ninh commune.

Ward IV has 188 hectares of natural area and 11,223 residents.

Administrative boundaries of Ward IV: East borders Hoa Thanh district; West borders Ward III; South borders Hoa Thanh district; North borders Hiep Ninh Ward.

b) Establishing Hiep Ninh Ward under Tay Ninh city based on 331 hectares of natural area and 17,728 remaining residents of Hiep Ninh commune.

Administrative boundaries of Hiep Ninh Ward: East borders Ninh Thanh commune; West borders Ward III and Ward I; South borders Ward IV and Hoa Thanh district; North borders Ninh Son and Ninh Thanh communes.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries of Hoa Thanh district to expand Tay Ninh city and establishing wards under the city:

Tay Ninh city has 13,965 hectares of natural area and 112,893 residents, including 10 subordinate administrative units: Wards I, II, III, IV, Hiep Ninh, and communes: Binh Minh, Tan Binh, Ninh Thanh, Ninh Son, and Thanh Tan.

Administrative boundaries of Tay Ninh city after expansion: East borders Dien Minh Chau district; West borders Chau Thanh district; South borders Hoa Thanh district; North borders Tan Bien and Tan Chau districts.

Hoa Thanh district retains 8,816 hectares of natural area and 129,040 residents, with 8 subordinate administrative units being communes: Long Thanh Nam, Long Thanh Trung, Long Thanh Bac, Truong Tay, Truong Dong, Truong Hoa, Hiep Tan, and Hoa Thanh town.

Hiep Tan commune under Hoa Thanh district retains 485 hectares of natural area and 8,635 residents.

3. Establishing Thanh Bac commune under Tan Bien district based on 9,164 hectares of natural area and 2,960 residents of Thanh Binh commune.

Administrative boundaries of Thanh Bac commune: East borders Tan Chau district; West borders Thanh Tay commune; South borders Thanh Binh commune; North borders Tan Lap commune.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Thanh Bac commune, Thanh Binh commune retains 11,500 hectares of natural area and 8,404 residents.

Article 2. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong Province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.

Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province, the Minister, Head of the Civil Service Organization Department of the Government, and the Heads of related agencies are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
