DECREE OF THE GOVERNMENT
Regarding the establishment of communes under the districts of O Mon, Phung Hiep, and Thot Not, Can Tho province

THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho province and the Minister, Head of the Organization-Cadres Department of the Government,
DECREE DECIDE:
Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries are adjusted to establish communes under the districts of O Mon, Phung Hiep, and Thot Not, Can Tho province as follows:
1. Establishing Commune Truong Xuan A under the district of O Mon based on 3,679.07 hectares of natural area and 13,094 population from Commune Truong Xuan.
Administrative boundary of Commune Truong Xuan A: East borders District Chau Thanh A; West borders Commune Dong Thuan; South borders Kien Giang province; North borders Commune Truong Xuan.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Commune Truong Xuan A, Commune Truong Xuan retains 2,812.98 hectares of natural area and 12,590 population.
2. Establishing Commune Binh Thanh under the district of Phung Hiep based on 2,392.97 hectares of natural area and 9,497 population from Commune Tan Binh.
Administrative boundary of Commune Binh Thanh: East borders Communes Thanh Hoa, Hoa My; West borders Commune Tan Binh; South borders Commune Hoa My; North borders Commune Tan Binh.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Commune Binh Thanh, Commune Tan Binh retains 3,863.51 hectares of natural area and 19,139 population.
3. Establishing Commune Trung Thanh under the district of Thot Not based on 2,194.8 hectares of natural area and 15,864 population from Commune Trung An.
Administrative boundary of Commune Trung Thanh: East borders Commune Thuan Hung; West borders Communes Trung Hung, Trung An; South borders Commune Trung Hung; North borders Communes Trung Kien, Trung An.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Commune Trung Thanh, Commune Trung An retains 1,385.2 hectares of natural area and 12,919 population.
4. Establishing Commune Thanh My under the district of Thot Not based on 2,481.65 hectares of natural area and 11,448 population from Commune Thanh Goui.
Administrative boundary of Commune Thanh My: East borders Communes Vinh Trinh, Thoi Thuan; West borders Commune Thanh Goui; South borders Commune Thanh Loc; North borders An Giang province.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Commune Thanh My, Commune Thanh Goui retains 3,733.22 hectares of natural area and 15,410 population.
Article 2. This Decree takes effect from the date of signature. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are abolished.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho province, the Minister, Head of the Organization-Cadres Department of the Government, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
