Circular No. 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH promulgates the minimum volume of knowledge and requirements for competence that students must achieve upon graduation at the intermediate and higher vocational levels in mechanical fields.

CIRCULAR

Issuing Regulations on the minimum amount of knowledge and requirements for competence that
in technical fields
vocational fields and trades in the mechanical engineering sector

Pursuant to the Vocational Education Law dated November 27, 2014;

Pursuant to Decree No. 14/2017/NĐ-CP dated February 17, 2017 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Labour - Social Welfare;

Pursuant to Decision No. 1982/QD-TTg dated October 18, 2016 of the Prime Minister approving the National Qualifications Framework of Vietnam;

Pursuant to Circular No. 12/2017/TT-BLDTBXH dated April 20, 2017 of the Minister of Labour - Social Welfare stipulating the minimum amount of knowledge and requirements for competence that graduates of intermediate and higher vocational education levels must achieve;

At the proposal of the Director General of the Vocational Education Department,

The Minister of Labour - Social Welfare issues this Circular on the minimum amount of knowledge and requirements for competence that graduates of intermediate and higher vocational education levels in vocational fields and trades in the mechanical engineering sector must achieve.

Article 1. Along with this Circular, Regulations on the minimum amount of knowledge and requirements for competence that graduates of intermediate and higher vocational education levels in vocational fields and trades in the mechanical engineering sector must achieve are issued for application at intermediate vocational schools, higher vocational schools, universities with registered higher vocational education programs (hereinafter referred to as schools), including:

1. Field, trade: Metal cutting;

2. Field, trade: Mechanical equipment manufacturing;

3. Field, trade: Die and mold manufacturing;

4. Field, trade: Cold forming;

5. Field, trade: Cold assembly of mechanical equipment;

6. Field, trade: Cold repair of machine tools;

7. Field, trade: Repair of sewing machines;

8. Field, trade: Repair of marine engines;

9. Field, trade: Installation of mechanical equipment;

10. Field, trade: Vehicle assembly;

11. Field, trade: Maintenance of mechanical equipment systems;

12. Field, trade: Welding;

13. Field, trade: Forging and stamping.

Article 2. Delegating the General Director of the General Department of Vocational Education to issue detailed regulations on the minimum amount of knowledge and requirements for competence that graduates of intermediate and higher vocational education levels must achieve for each job position according to each vocational field and trade specified in Article 1 of this Circular for schools to use as a basis for organizing the development, review, and approval of training programs and textbooks applicable to their institutions.

Article 3. This Circular takes effect from February 10, 2019

Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, political-social organizations, provincial people's committees, and city people's committees directly under the central government with affiliated schools; schools registered for intermediate and higher vocational education programs for the vocational fields and trades specified in Article 1 of this Circular and other related organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Circular./.
