DECISION OF THE PRIME MINISTER
Regarding the upgrading of the Chemical Secondary School to
the Chemical College
PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Pursuant to the Government Decree No. 15/CP dated March 2, 1993 on the tasks, powers, and responsibilities for state management of ministries and ministerial-level agencies;
Pursuant to Decree No. 90/CP dated November 24, 1993 of the Government stipulating the framework structure of the national education system, educational and training certificates and credentials of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Education and Training in Official Letter No. 9596/KHTC dated December 24, 1996;
DECISION:
Article 1. The Chemical Secondary School is upgraded to the Chemical College.
Article 2. The Chemical College shall have the mission of training and developing college-level cadres, conducting scientific research to serve the requirements for socio-economic development.
Article 3. The Chemical College is under the Ministry of Industry, subject to sectoral management by the Ministry of Education and Training; it shall enjoy the policies and systems of the State applicable to the University and College system.
Article 4. This Decision takes effect from February 7, 1997.
Article 5. The Minister of Education and Training, the Minister of Industry, the Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies under the Government, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities are responsible for implementing this Decision.
