PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Pursuant to the Government Decree No. 15/CP dated March 2, 1993 on the tasks, powers, and responsibilities of state management of ministries and ministerial-level agencies;
Pursuant to Decree No. 90/CP dated November 24, 1993 of the Government stipulating the framework structure of the national education system, the system of educational and training certificates of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Education and Training in Circular No. 879/KHTC dated February 14, 1996,

Article 1. - Upgrade the Mining Technical High School to the College of Mining Technology.

Article 2. - The College of Mining Technology shall have the mission of training and developing cadres with college-level qualifications, conducting scientific research to serve the requirements for socio-economic development.

Article 3. - The College of Mining Technology belongs to the Ministry of Industry, subject to sectoral management by the Ministry of Education and Training; it shall enjoy policies and systems established by the State according to the system of Universities and Colleges.

Article 4. - This Decision takes effect from the date of signing.

Article 5. - The Minister of Education and Training, the Minister of Industry, the Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies under the Government, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally-administered cities are responsible for implementing this Decision.
