THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Pursuant to Decree No. 30/2003/NĐ-CP dated April 1, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of government agencies;
Considering the proposal of the Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the Minister of Home Affairs.
DECREE
Article 1The Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics is a public service entity under the Government; it is a first-tier financial unit.
The Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics is the national center for training and developing mid-to-senior level leaders and managers, political science theorists of the Party, State, and social-political organizations; it is the national center for researching Marxist-Leninist theory and President Ho Chi Minh's thought, studying the Party and State's policies and lines, and researching political science.
Article 2The tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics shall be implemented in accordance with Decision No. 149-QĐ/TW dated August 2, 2005 of the Politburo.
Article 3. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
This Decree replaces Decree No. 44-CP dated June 22, 1993 of the Government on the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
Article 4. The Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of governmental agencies, and Chairpersons of provincial People's Committees directly under the Central Government are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
