DECISION OF THE PRIME MINISTER
Regarding the upgrading of the Central Foreign Trade Economics School to the Foreign Trade College
PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Pursuant to the Government Decree No. 15/CP dated March 2, 1993 on the tasks, powers, and responsibilities for state management of ministries and ministerial-level agencies;
Pursuant to Decree No. 90/CP dated November 24, 1993 of the Government stipulating the framework structure of the national education system, the system of certificates and diplomas for education and training in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Education and Training in Circular No. 9596/KHTC dated December 24, 1996;
DECISION:
Article 1.-Upgrade the Central Foreign Trade Economics School to the Foreign Trade College.
Article 2.- The Foreign Trade College shall have the mission of training and developing mid-level cadres, conducting scientific research to serve the requirements of economic and social development.
Article 3.- The Foreign Trade College shall be under the Ministry of Commerce and subject to the sectoral management of the Ministry of Education and Training; it shall enjoy the policies and regulations of the State applicable to the University and College systems.
Article 4.- This Decision shall take effect from February 7, 1997.
Article 5.- The Minister of Education and Training, the Minister of Commerce, the Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies attached to the Government, Chairmen of Provincial People's Committees directly under the Central Government shall be responsible for implementing this Decision./.
