CIRCULAR
Amending and supplementing Circular No. 66/TT/LB dated August 12, 1994 on guiding the adjustment of consular fee and charge levels as stipulated in Circular No. 83/TT/LB dated October 4, 1993
Implementing Decree No. 189/HĐBT dated June 4, 1992 of the Council of Ministers (now the Government) detailing the implementation of the Consular Ordinance, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued Circular No. 83/TT/LB dated October 4, 1993 on the system of consular fees and charges abroad and Circular No. 66/TT/LB dated August 12, 1994 amending the consular fee and charge levels in Circular No. 83/TT/LB dated October 4, 1993;
To implement Decision No. 767/TTg dated September 17, 1997 of the Prime Minister on certain policies for overseas Vietnamese communities and at the request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Document No. 304/NG-UBNV dated March 16, 1998, the Ministry of Finance supplements and amends Point 1 of Circular No. 66/TT/LB dated August 12, 1994 as follows:
Consular fees and charges for Vietnamese citizens residing in Thailand shall be collected at 50% of the level prescribed in Circular No. 83/TT-LB dated October 4, 1993. This Circular takes effect fifteen days from the date of issuance. Other contents not addressed in this Circular shall continue to be implemented according to the guidance provided in Circular No. 66/TT/LB dated August 12, 1994 and Circular No. 83/TT-LB dated October 4, 1993 of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the collection of consular fees and charges.
In the course of implementation, if there are any difficulties, they should be reported to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Finance for study and resolution./.
