Regarding the establishment of communes under Tan Hung, Thanh Hoa,
Duc Hue and Thu Thua districts, Long An province

THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Long An Province,
DECREE:
Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries are adjusted to establish communes under Tan Hung, Thanh Hoa, Duc Hue, and Thu Thua districts, Long An province as follows:
1. Establish Vinh Buu commune under Tan Hung district based on 3,995 hectares of natural area and 4,155 population of Vinh Dai commune.
Administrative boundary of Vinh Buu commune: East borders Moi Ha and Tan Thanh districts; West borders Vinh Chau A commune; South borders Dong Thap province; North borders Vinh Dai commune.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Vinh Buu commune, Vinh Dai commune remains with 3,964 hectares of natural area and 4,240 population.
2. Establish Thanh An commune under Thanh Hoa district based on 6,489 hectares of natural area and 3,650 population of Thuy Tay commune.
Administrative boundary of Thanh An commune: East borders Thuy Dong commune; West borders Tan Thanh district; South borders Tan Thanh district and Tien Giang province; North borders Thuy Tay commune and Thanh Hoa town.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Thanh An commune, Thuy Tan commune remains with 3,177 hectares of natural area and 3,540 population.
3. Establish My Binh commune under Duc Hue district based on 3,070 hectares of natural area and 2,858 population of Binh Thanh commune, 1,099 hectares of natural area and 651 population of Binh Hoa Hung commune.
My Binh commune has 4,169 hectares of natural area and 3,509 population.
Administrative boundary of My Binh commune: East borders My Thanh Dong and Binh Hoa Bac communes; West borders Cambodia; South borders Binh Thanh and Binh Hoa Hung communes; North borders My Thanh Tay commune.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish My Binh commune:
- Binh Thanh commune remains with 2,589.5 hectares of natural area and 2,205 population.
- Binh Hoa Hung commune remains with 3,090.1 hectares of natural area and 2,232 population.
4. Establish Long Thanh commune under Thu Thua district based on 4,310.5 hectares of natural area and 2,871 population of Long Thanh commune.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Long Thanh commune, Long Thanh commune remains with 3,307.5 hectares of natural area and 3,825 population.
5. Establish Tan Lap commune under Thu Thua district based on 3,780 hectares of natural area and 2,696 population of Tan Thanh commune.
Administrative boundary of Tan Lap commune: East borders Ben Luc district; West borders Long Thuan and Long Thanh communes; South borders Tan Thanh commune; North borders Duc Hue district.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Tan Lap commune, Tan Thanh commune remains with 3,966 hectares of natural area and 3,399 population.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Long An Province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
