DECISION OF THE MINISTER OF TRANSPORT

Issuing Industry Standards

 

THE MINISTER OF TRANSPORTATION

 

Pursuant to the Road Traffic Law dated June 29, 2001;

Pursuant to the Government Decree No. 34/2003/NĐ-CP dated April 4, 2003 on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Transport;

Pursuant to the proposal of the Director of the Science and Technology Department, the Director of the Organization and Cadre Affairs Department, and the Director of the Vietnam Vehicle Inspection Agency,

 

DECISION:

 

Article 1. Issued together with this Decision are the Industry Standards:

"STANDARD FOR MOTOR VEHICLE INSPECTION CENTERS"

Registration number: 22 TCN 226 - 2005

Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette and shall replace Decision No. 4135/2001/QĐ-BGTVT dated December 5, 2001 issued by the Minister of Transport on the Standard for Motor Vehicle Inspection Stations, registration number 22 TCN 226 - 01.

Motor vehicle inspection centers established before this Decision takes effect must supplement testing equipment for one inspection line to be operational from January 1, 2007, and are encouraged to arrange floor area and minimum length for installing inspection lines according to this standard.

Article 3. The Head of the Office, the Directors of the Science and Technology Department, the Organization and Cadre Affairs Department, the Legal Affairs Department, the Director of the Vietnam Highway Administration, the Director of the Vietnam Vehicle Inspection Agency, and the Heads of related agencies and units are responsible for implementing this Decision.
