THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Gia Lai province,
DECREE:
Article 1. Adjusting the administrative boundaries of Ayun Pa district; establishing Ayun Pa city and Phú Thiện district; establishing Cheo Reo, Hoa Binh, Dong Ket, Song Bo wards and Chu Bah commune under Ayun Pa city, Gia Lai province as follows:
1. Establishing Ayun Pa city under Gia Lai province based on the adjustment of the entire 1,727.5 hectares of natural area and 21,613 population of Ayun Pa town; 3,100 hectares of natural area and 2,900 population of Ia RTô commune; 15,537 hectares of natural area and 6,962 population of Ia Rbol commune; 8,336 hectares of natural area and 3,583 population of Ia Sao commune. Ayun Pa city has 28,700.5 hectares of natural area and 35,058 population. The administrative boundary of Ayun Pa city: East borders Ia Pa and Krông Pa districts; West borders Phú Thiện district; South borders Dak Lak province; North borders Phú Thiện and Ia Pa districts.
2. Establishing wards under Ayun Pa city as follows:
a) Establishing Cheo Reo ward based on the adjustment of 442 hectares of natural area and 5,387 population of Ayun Pa town. Cheo Reo ward has 442 hectares of natural area and 5,387 population. The administrative boundary of Cheo Reo ward: East borders Ia Trôk commune, Ia Pa district; West borders Ia Hiao commune, Phú Thiện district; South borders Hoa Binh ward; North borders Ia Hiao commune, Phú Thiện district.
b) Establishing Hoa Binh ward based on the adjustment of 485 hectares of natural area and 3,855 population of Ayun Pa town. Hoa Binh ward has 485 hectares of natural area and 3,855 population. The administrative boundary of Hoa Binh ward: East borders Ia Trôk commune, Ia Pa district; West borders Ia Rbol commune; South borders Dong Ket ward; North borders Cheo Reo ward.
c) Establishing Dong Ket ward based on the adjustment of 384.71 hectares of natural area and 6,972 population of Ayun Pa town. Dong Ket ward has 384.71 hectares of natural area and 6,972 population. The administrative boundary of Dong Ket ward: East borders Ia Trôk commune, Ia Pa district; West borders Ia Rbol commune; South borders Song Bo ward; North borders Hoa Binh ward.
d) Establishing Song Bo ward based on 415.79 hectares of natural area and 5,399 population remaining of Ayun Pa town. Song Bo ward has 415.79 hectares of natural area and 5,399 population. The administrative boundary of Song Bo ward: East borders Ia Broai commune, Ia Pa district; West borders Ia Rbol commune; South borders Ia Sao commune; North borders Dong Ket ward.
đ) Establishing Chu Bah commune based on the adjustment of 6,959 hectares of natural area and 3,306 population of Ia Rbol commune. Chu Bah commune has 6,959 hectares of natural area and 3,306 population. The administrative boundary of Chu Bah commune: East borders Ia Rbol commune and Cheo Reo, Hoa Binh, Dong Ket and Song Bo wards; West borders Ia Hiao commune, Phú Thiện district; South borders Ia Rbol commune and Dak Lak province; North borders Ia Hiao commune, Phú Thiện district and Cheo Reo ward. After adjusting the administrative boundaries of Ayun Pa city and its affiliated wards and communes: - Ia Rbol commune remains with 8,578 hectares of natural area and 3,656 population. - Ayun Pa city has 28,700.5 hectares of natural area and 35,058 population, with 08 direct administrative units including wards: Cheo Reo, Hoa Binh, Dong Ket, Song Bo and communes: Ia RTô, Chu Bah, Ia Rbol and Ia Sao commune.
3. Establishing Phú Thiện district under Gia Lai province based on the remaining 50,191 hectares of natural area and 64,558 population of Ayun Pa district. Phú Thiện district has 50,191 hectares of natural area and 64,558 population, with 10 direct administrative units including communes: Chu A Thai, Ia AKe, Ia Sol, Ia Piar, Ia Peng, Ayun Ha, Ia Yeng, Chroh Pơnan, Ia Hiao and Phú Thiện town. The administrative boundary of Phú Thiện district: East borders Ia Pa district; West borders Chu Se district; South borders Ayun Pa city; North borders Chu Se district. After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Ayun Pa city and Phú Thiện district: Gia Lai province has 16 direct administrative units, including: Pleiku city, An Khê city, Ayun Pa city and districts: Phú Thiện, Ia Pa, Krông Pa, Chu Se, Chu Prong, Duc Co, Ia Grai, Chu Pah, Dak Doa, Mang Yang, Dak Po, Kbang and Kon Chro district.
Article 2. This Decree takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are abolished.
Article 3. The Minister of Interior, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Gia Lai province and the Heads of related agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
