DECREE
Regarding the establishment of Tho Tang Town, Thanh Lang Town, and Gia Khanh Town under Vinh Tuy District, Binh Xuyen District, Vinh Phuc Province
belonging to the districts of Vinh Tuong, Binh Xuyen, Vinh Phuc province

THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc Province,
DECREE:
Article 1. Establish Tho Tang Town, Thanh Lang Town, and Gia Khanh Town under Vinh Tuy District, Binh Xuyen District, Vinh Phuc Province as follows:
1. Establish Tho Tang Town under Vinh Tuy District based on the entire natural area and current population of Tho Tang Commune.
Tho Tang Town has 526.79 hectares of natural area and 14,049 inhabitants.
Administrative boundary of Tho Tang Town: East borders Vinh Son Commune and Dai Dong Commune, Vinh Tuy District; West borders Tan Cuong Commune and Lung Hoa Commune, Vinh Tuy District; South borders Thuan Trung Commune and Vinh Son Commune, Vinh Tuy District; North borders Tan Tien Commune and Lung Hoa Commune, Vinh Tuy District.
After establishing Tho Tang Town:
Vinh Tuy District will have 29 administrative units directly under it, including communes: Kim Xa, Yen Binh, Nghia Hung, Chan Hung, Dai Dong, Tan Tien, Yen Lap, Viet Xuan, Bo Sao, Lung Hoa, Cao Dai, Phu Thinh, Ly Nhan, An Tuong, Tuan Chinh, Thuan Trung, Tan Cuong, Vinh Son, Binh Duong, Van Xuan, Vu Di, Tam Phuc, Vinh Thinh, Vinh Ninh, Phu Da, Ngũ Kien, Tu Trung, and towns: Vinh Tuy, Tho Tang.
2. Establish Thanh Lang Town under Binh Xuyen District based on the entire natural area and current population of Thanh Lang Commune.
Thanh Lang Town has 948.21 hectares of natural area and 13,437 inhabitants.
Administrative boundary of Thanh Lang Town: East borders Tan Phong Commune and Phu Xuan Commune, Binh Xuyen District; West borders Binh Dinh Commune and Yen Lac Town, Yen Lac District; South borders Nguyet Duc Commune and Van Tien Commune, Yen Lac District; North borders Thanh Tru Commune, Vinh Yen City.
3. Establish Gia Khanh Town under Binh Xuyen District based on adjusting 81.20 hectares of natural area and 916 inhabitants from Thien Ke Commune; the entire 857.55 hectares of natural area and 10,305 inhabitants of Gia Khanh Commune.
Gia Khanh Town has 938.75 hectares of natural area and 11,221 inhabitants.
Administrative boundary of Gia Khanh Town: East borders Thien Ke Commune, Binh Xuyen District and Minh Quang Commune, Tam Dao District; West borders Kim Long Commune, Tam Duong District and Huong Son Commune, Binh Xuyen District; South borders Huong Son Commune and Thien Ke Commune, Binh Xuyen District; North borders Hop Chau Commune and Minh Quang Commune, Tam Dao District.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries:
- Thien Ke Commune retains 1,178.24 hectares of natural area and 6,041 inhabitants.
Binh Xuyen District will have 13 administrative units directly under it, including communes: Dao Duc, Tan Phong, Son Loi, Quat Luu, Tam Hop, Huong Son, Thien Ke, Ba Hien, Phu Xuan, Trung My and towns: Huong Canh, Gia Khanh, Thanh Lang.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Minister of Interior, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc Province, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
