THE MINISTER OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS
On the basis of the Law on Information Technology dated June 29, 2006;
On the basis of Decree No. 99/2003/ND-CP dated August 28, 2003 of the Government promulgating the Regulations on High-Tech Zones;
On the basis of Decree No. 71/2007/ND-CP dated May 3, 2007 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Information Technology regarding the information technology industry;
On the basis of Decree No. 187/2007/ND-CP dated December 25, 2007 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Information and Communications;
Considering the proposal of the Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications at Circular No. 523/STTTT-CNTT dated April 9, 2009, and the Director of the Quang Trung Software City Development Company Ho Chi Minh City at Circular No. 81/QTSC dated April 2, 2009;
In accordance with the proposal of the Director of the Department of Information Technology;
DECISION:
Article 1. Recognizes Quang Trung Software City (Quang Trung Software City - QTSC) as a concentrated information technology zone.
The certificate of the concentrated information technology zone issued by the Minister of Information and Communications shall be attached to this Decision.
Article 2. Organizations and individuals investing and operating in Quang Trung Software Park shall enjoy preferential policies of the State applicable to high-tech zones as provided for by laws on high-tech zones.
Article 3. This Decision shall take effect from the date of signing.
Article 4. The Heads of the Office, the Director of the Department of Information Technology, the Heads of agencies and units under the Ministry, the Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications, the Director of the Quang Trung Software City Development Company, and related organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
