DECREE OF THE GOVERNMENT
Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries and expansion of Phu Ly city, Ha Nam province
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Considering the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Nam province and the Minister, Head of the Civil Service and Cadre Affairs Board of the Government,
DECREE DECIDE:
Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries of Kim Bang, Duy Tien, and Thanh Lien districts are adjusted to expand Phu Ly city, Ha Nam province as follows:
Annexing in their entirety Phu Van commune (comprising 564.85 hectares of natural area and 6,221 population) and Chau Son commune (comprising 827.6 hectares of natural area and 10,828 population) from Kim Bang district to Phu Ly city;
Annexing in their entirety Liem Trung commune (comprising 348 hectares of natural area and 4,667 population) from Thanh Lien district to Phu Ly city;
Annexing in their entirety Lam Ha commune (comprising 844.09 hectares of natural area and 8,603 population) from Duy Tien district to Phu Ly city.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries of the districts to expand Phu Ly city:
Phu Ly city has 3,424.87 hectares of natural area and 70,495 population.
Administrative boundary of Phu Ly city: East borders Duy Tien and Thanh Lien districts; West borders Kim Bang district; South borders Thanh Lien district; North borders Kim Bang and Duy Tien districts.
Kim Bang district has 18,444.11 hectares of natural area and 128,771 population; comprising 19 subordinate administrative units.
Thanh Lien district has 17,493.37 hectares of natural area and 132,198 population; comprising 20 subordinate administrative units.
Duy Tien district has 13,105.18 hectares of natural area and 127,618 population; comprising 21 subordinate administrative units.
Article 2. Adjusting administrative boundaries and establishing wards and communes under Phu Ly city as follows:
1. Establishing Le Hong Phong ward based on 271.78 hectares of natural area and 6,083 population of Chau Son commune;
Administrative boundary of Le Hong Phong ward: East borders wards Hai Ba Trung, Quang Trung and commune Thanh Chau; West borders Kim Bang district; South borders Chau Son commune; North borders Phu Van commune.
2. Establishing Quang Trung ward based on 222.5 hectares of natural area and 3,042 population of Lam Ha commune; 23.56 hectares of natural area and 2,503 population of Luan Khanh Thien ward; 15.53 hectares of natural area and 721 population of Minh Khai ward;
Quang Trung ward has 261.59 hectares of natural area and 6,266 population;
Administrative boundary of Quang Trung ward: East borders wards Luan Khanh Thien, Minh Khai and commune Lam Ha; West borders Phu Van commune; South borders Hai Ba Trung ward; North borders Duy Tien district.
3. Adjusting administrative boundary of Luan Khanh Thien ward as follows:
Annexing 0.9 hectares of natural area and 18 population of Liem Chinh commune into Luan Khanh Thien ward;
After adjusting administrative boundaries, Luan Khanh Thien ward has 31.52 hectares of natural area and 6,791 population.
4. Adjusting administrative boundary of Minh Khai ward as follows:
Annexing 13.24 hectares of natural area and 17 population of Liem Chinh commune into Minh Khai ward;
Annexing 1,570 population of Minh Khai ward into Phu Van commune;
After adjusting administrative boundaries, Minh Khai ward has 35.39 hectares of natural area and 6,822 population.
5. Adjusting administrative boundary of Hai Ba Trung ward as follows:
Annexing 36.47 hectares of natural area and 519 population of Liem Chinh commune into Hai Ba Trung ward;
Annexing 2.5 hectares of natural area of Thanh Chau commune into Hai Ba Trung ward;
After adjusting administrative boundaries, Hai Ba Trung ward has 61.35 hectares of natural area and 6,034 population.
6. Adjusting administrative boundary of Tran Hung Dao ward as follows:
Annexing 12.81 hectares of natural area and 12 population of Liem Chinh commune into Tran Hung Dao ward;
Annexing 0.2 hectares of natural area of Thanh Chau commune into Tran Hung Dao ward;
After adjusting administrative boundaries, Tran Hung Dao ward has 16.96 hectares of natural area and 4,968 population.
7. After adjusting administrative boundaries of wards Luan Khanh Thien, Minh Khai, Hai Ba Trung, Tran Hung Dao, Liem Chinh commune has 332.47 hectares of natural area and 4,128 population.
8. After adjusting administrative boundaries of wards Tran Hung Dao, Hai Ba Trung, Thanh Chau commune has 323.55 hectares of natural area and 5,430 population.
9. After adjusting administrative boundaries to establish Le Hong Phong ward, Chau Son commune has 555.82 hectares of natural area and 5,945 population.
10. After adjusting administrative boundaries to establish Quang Trung ward, Lam Ha commune has 621.59 hectares of natural area and 5,561 population.
11. After receiving 1,570 population of Minh Khai ward, Phu Van commune has 564.85 hectares of natural area and 7,791 population.
Phu Ly city after adjusting administrative boundaries has 12 subordinate administrative units including wards Le Hong Phong, Quang Trung, Luan Khanh Thien, Minh Khai, Hai Ba Trung, Tran Hung Dao and communes Liem Chinh, Thanh Chau, Chau Son, Lam Ha, Liem Chung, Phu Van.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong Province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
Article 4. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Nam province, the Minister, Head of the Civil Service and Cadre Affairs Board of the Government, and Heads of related agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
