Decision No. 53/2002/QĐ-BNNPTNT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development allows the registration of four types of plant protection chemicals with special consideration for inclusion in the list of permitted chemicals in Vietnam. THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT
Pursuant to Decree No. 73/CP dated November 1, 1995 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;
Considering the proposal of the Director of the Science, Technology and Product Quality Department and the Director of the Plant Protection Department.
a. Approve the formal registration of five types of products (including three herbicides and two plant growth regulators) into the list of plant protection products permitted for use in Vietnam (attached list).

Article 1. The export and import of the plant protection chemicals issued together with this decision shall be carried out in accordance with Circular 62/2001/TT-BNN dated June 5, 2001 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development guiding the export and import of goods under the specialized agricultural management according to Decision 46/2001/QĐ-TTg dated April 4, 2001 of the Prime Minister on the management of export and import of goods during the period 2001-2005.
Article 2. The Director of the Ministry's Office, the Director of the Plant Protection Department, the Head of the Science and Technology Department and Quality Assurance, Heads of units under the Ministry, and organizations, individuals within the country and foreigners managing, producing, trading, and using plant protection chemicals in Vietnam are responsible for implementing this decision.
Article 3. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of signature.
The Plant Protection Department shall be responsible for providing detailed guidance on safe and effective use of the aforementioned plant protection products.
Article 4. The Director of the Ministry's Office, the Director of the Plant Protection Department, the Director of the Science, Technology and Standardization Department, the Heads of units under the Ministry, and domestic organizations and individuals, as well as foreign persons managing, producing, trading, and using plant protection chemicals in Vietnam shall be responsible for implementing this Decision.
