CIRCULAR
Amending Circular No. 71/TT-LB dated December 5, 1991 of the Joint Ministry of Finance - Foreign Affairs - Interior on passport fee collection rates
Pursuant to Decision No. 276/CT dated July 28, 1992 of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers (now Prime Minister) on unified management of fees and charges;
To compensate for necessary costs for managing entry and exit, in line with international practices, based on the proposal of the Ministry of Interior at Official Letter No. 232/BNV (A11) dated March 28, 1998 and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Official Letter No. 355/NG-LS dated March 26, 1998 regarding new passport prices. After reaching consensus with the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance amends Circular No. 71/TT-LB dated December 5, 1991 of the Joint Ministry of Finance - Foreign Affairs - Interior on regulations for collecting fees for issuing passports, various documents, and certificates for foreigners and Vietnamese citizens entering, exiting, and residing as follows:
Amend the first bullet point under Point 1, Item III of the Fee Collection Schedule issued pursuant to Point 1, Item III of Circular No. 71/TT-LB dated December 5, 1991 of the Joint Ministry of Finance - Foreign Affairs - Interior on regulations for collecting fees for issuing passports, various documents, and certificates for foreigners and Vietnamese citizens entering, exiting, and residing, setting the passport fee (including both the initial visa and passport recovery) at 200,000 VND (two hundred thousand dong) per booklet.
This Circular takes effect fifteen days from the date of signature. Other provisions not amended or supplemented herein shall continue to be implemented according to Circular No. 71/TT-LB dated December 5, 1991 of the Joint Ministry of Finance - Foreign Affairs - Interior and Circular No. 26/TC/HCVX dated March 29, 1993 of the Ministry of Finance guiding supplementary regulations on the collection of fees for issuing passports and various documents and certificates for foreigners and Vietnamese citizens entering, exiting, and residing.
Any difficulties or issues encountered during implementation should be promptly reported to the Ministry of Finance for study and resolution./.
