Decree-Law No. 55 Regarding the Appointment of Officials to Hold Positions in the Ministry of National Defense

DECREE-LAW

NO. 55 OF JUNE 18, 1949

PRESIDENT

VIETNAM DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC

Pursuant to Decree-Law No. 57 dated May 3, 1946 organizing the Ministries;

Pursuant to Decree-Law No. 50 dated June 18, 1949 establishing the Ministry of National Defense and the General Staff Headquarters;

Pursuant to Decree-Law No. 232-SL dated December 6, 1946 appointing Mr. Tran Dai Nghia as Director of the Armament Bureau;

Pursuant to Decree-Law No. 36-SL dated March 19, 1947 appointing Mr. Tran Du Chau as Director of the Military Supply Bureau;

At the proposal of the Minister of National Defense and Chief of General Staff of the National Army and People's Militia of Vietnam;

By resolution of the Council of Ministers;

ISSUES THE FOLLOWING DECREE-LAW:

Article 1

The following appointments are hereby made:

Lieutenant General Tran Dai Nghia is appointed as Director of the Armament Bureau.

Colonel Vu Van Can is appointed as Director of the Military Medical Bureau.

Colonel Tran Du Chau is appointed as Director of the Military Supply Bureau.

Article 2

Decree-Laws No. 232-SL dated December 6, 1946 and No. 36-SL dated March 19, 1947 are hereby repealed.

Article 3

The Minister of National Defense and Chief of General Staff of the National Army and People's Militia of Vietnam shall implement this Decree-Law accordingly.
