Regarding the establishment of Chau Hung Town under Vinh Loi District, Bac Lieu Province

THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu Province,
DECREE:
Article 1. Article: Adjusting the administrative boundaries of Chau Thoi Commune to establish Chau Hung Town under Vinh Loi District, Bac Lieu Province as follows:
Establish Chau Hung Town under Vinh Loi District based on the entire 3,155 hectares of natural area and 11,311 population of Chau Hung Commune, and adjust 265.23 hectares of natural area and 1,438 population of Chau Thoi Commune.
Chau Hung Town has 3,420.23 hectares of natural area and 12,749 population.
Administrative boundaries of Chau Hung Town: East borders with Hung Hoi and Hung Thanh Communes, Vinh Loi District; West borders with Chau Thoi and Long Thanh Communes, Vinh Loi District; South borders with Ward 7, Bac Lieu City and Hung Hoi Commune, Vinh Loi District; North borders with Chau Hung A Commune, Vinh Loi District.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries:
Chau Thoi Commune remains with 4,273.77 hectares of natural area and 14,493 population.
Vinh Loi District has eight subordinate administrative units, including communes: Hung Hoi, Hung Thanh, Chau Hung A, Chau Thoi, Long Thanh, Vinh Hung, Vinh Hung A, and Chau Hung Town.
Article 2. This Decree takes effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are abolished.
Article 3. The Minister of Home Affairs, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu Province, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
