Decree No. 58/1999/NĐ-CP re-establishes Dau Tieng, Phu Giao, and Di An districts in Binh Duong Province, and adjusts administrative boundaries to establish new communes. This Decree takes effect fifteen days from the date of signature.

Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries, the re-establishment of Dau Tieng, Phu Giao, and Di An districts, and the establishment of communes under Dau Tieng and Di An districts in Binh Duong province Pursuant to the Law on Government Organization dated September 30, 1992;

Considering the proposal of the Chairman Within 10 working days from the date of receipt of the dossier as mentioned in Sub-clause b, Clause 1, Article 3 above, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will review and submit to the competent authority for decision (Issues exceeding the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' jurisdiction will be referred to the Prime Minister for consideration and decision).Now, the Dau Tieng, Phu Giao, and Di An districts in Binh Duong province are re-established as follows:
DECREE:
Article 1. 1. Re-establishing the Dau Tieng district based on 72,010 hectares of natural area and 82,787 population from the Ben Cat district:
The Dau Tieng district has 11 administrative units directly under it, including the communes of Dinh An, Dinh Hiep, Minh Hoa, Minh Tan, Minh Thanh, Long Tan, An Lap, Thanh An, Thanh Tuyen, Long Hoa, and the town of Dau Tieng.
Administrative boundary of the Dau Tieng district: East borders the Ben Cat district; West borders Tay Ninh province; South borders Ho Chi Minh City; North borders Binh Phuoc province.
After adjusting the administrative boundary, the Ben Cat district has 58,652 hectares of natural area and 104,434 population, comprising 15 administrative units directly under it, which are the communes of Cay Truong II, Tru Van Tho, Long Nguyen, Lai Hung, Thoi Hoa, Chanh Phu Hoa, Tan Ding, Hoa Loi, Phu An, An Tay, An Diep, Hung Hoa, Tan Hung, Lai Uyen, and the town of My Phuoc.
Administrative boundary of the Ben Cat district: East borders the Phu Giao district and Tan Uyen district; West borders the Dau Tieng district and Ho Chi Minh City; South borders Thu Dau Mot city; North borders Binh Phuoc province.
2. Re-establishing the Phu Giao district based on 53,861 hectares of natural area and 58,207 population from the Tan Uyen district:
The Phu Giao district has 9 administrative units directly under it, which are the communes of Vinh Hoa, An Binh, An Linh, Tan Hiep, Phu Sang, Phu Hoa, An Long, Tan Long, and the town of Phuoc Vinh.
Administrative boundary of the Phu Giao district: East borders Dong Nai province; West borders the Ben Cat district; South borders the Tan Uyen district; North borders Binh Phuoc province.
After adjusting the administrative boundary, the Tan Uyen district has 61,117 hectares of natural area and 115,104 population, comprising 18 administrative units directly under it, which are the communes of Tan Binh, Vinh Tan, Phu Chanh, Tan Vinh Hiep, Khanh Binh, Thai Hoa, Thanh Phuoc, Bach Dang, Tan My, Thuong Tan, Lac An, Tan Thanh, Tan Lap, Tan Ding, Hoi Nghia, Binh My, the town of Uyen Hung, and the town of Tan Phuoc Khanh.
Administrative boundary of the Tan Uyen district: East borders Dong Nai province; West borders the Ben Cat district and Thu Dau Mot city; South borders the Di An district and Dong Nai province; North borders the Phu Giao district.
3. Re-establishing the Di An district based on 5,735 hectares of natural area and 90,455 population from the Thuan An district.
The Di An district has 6 administrative units directly under it, which are the communes of Binh An, Tan Binh, Dong Hoa, Tan Dong Hiep, An Binh, and the town of Di An.
Administrative boundary of the Di An district: East borders Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City; West borders the Thuan An district; South borders Ho Chi Minh City; North borders the Tan Uyen district.
After adjusting the administrative boundary, the Thuan An district has 8,246 hectares of natural area and 108,505 population, comprising 10 administrative units directly under it, which are the communes of Binh Chuan, An Phu, An Son, Hung Ding, Thuan Giao, Binh Nham, Binh Hoa, Vinh Phu, the town of Lai Thieu, and the town of An Thanh.
Administrative boundary of the Thuan An district: East borders the Di An district; West borders Ho Chi Minh City; South borders Ho Chi Minh City; North borders Thu Dau Mot city and the Tan Uyen district.
Administrative boundary of Thuận An district: East borders Dĩ An district; West borders Ho Chi Minh City; South borders Ho Chi Minh City; North borders Thu Dau Mot town and Tân Uyên district.
Article 2. Article adjusts administrative boundaries to establish communes under Dau Tieng District and Di An District, Binh Duong Province, as follows:
1. Dau Tieng District:
Adjusts 1,800 hectares of natural area and 1,007 population from Dau Tieng Town to be merged with Dong Hiep Commune.
After adjusting administrative boundaries, Dau Tieng Town will have 3,487 hectares of natural area and 17,005 population.
Establishes Dong An Commune based on 11,570 hectares of natural area and 5,377 population from Dong Hiep Commune.
After adjusting administrative boundaries, Dong Hiep Commune will have 5,402 hectares of natural area and 7,420 population.
2. Di An District:
Adjusts 101 hectares of natural area and 2,780 population from Tan Dong Hiep Commune to be merged with Di An Town.
After adjusting administrative boundaries, Tan Dong Hiep Commune will have 1,192 hectares of natural area and 15,940 population.
Establishes An Binh Commune based on 319 hectares of natural area and 5,350 population from Di An Town.
After adjusting administrative boundaries, Di An Town will have 1,049 hectares of natural area and 24,116 population.
Article 3. This Decree takes effect fifteen days from the date of issuance. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are abolished.
Article 4. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duong Province, the Minister, the Director of the Government Organization-Civil Service Department, and the heads of related agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
