DECREE
Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries for communes and towns and
the establishment of a town under the city of Ninh Binh, Ninh Binh province
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ninh Binh Province,
DECREE:
Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries of some communes and towns are adjusted and a new town is established under the city of Ninh Binh, Ninh Binh province as follows:
1. Adjusting 4.55 hectares of natural area and 1,279 inhabitants from Thanh Binh Town under the city of Ninh Binh to be managed by Nam Binh Town.
2. Adjusting 26 hectares of natural area and 1,300 inhabitants from Ninh Son Commune under the city of Ninh Binh to be managed by Nam Binh Town.
3. Adjusting 102.80 hectares of natural area and 1,197 inhabitants from Ninh Phong Commune under the city of Ninh Binh to be managed by Nam Binh Town.
4. Adjusting 3.37 hectares of natural area and 508 inhabitants from Bich Dao Town under the city of Ninh Binh to be managed by Ninh Son Commune.
5. Adjusting 36.36 hectares of natural area and 1,506 inhabitants from Nam Binh Town under the city of Ninh Binh to be managed by Ninh Phong Commune.
After the adjustment of administrative boundaries:
Thanh Binh Town has 156.54 hectares of natural area and 9,562 inhabitants.
Bich Dao Town has 224.20 hectares of natural area and 7,698 inhabitants.
Nam Binh Town has 185.76 hectares of natural area and 9,290 inhabitants.
Ninh Son Commune has 470.01 hectares of natural area and 8,054 inhabitants.
Ninh Phong Commune has 539.16 hectares of natural area and 7,701 inhabitants.
6. Establishing Ninh Khanh Town under the city of Ninh Binh based on the entire natural area and population of Ninh Khanh Commune.
Ninh Khanh Town has 535.82 hectares of natural area and 7,027 inhabitants.
The administrative boundary of Ninh Khanh Town: East borders Hoa Lu District and Nam Dinh Province; West borders Ninh Nhat Commune; South borders Dong Thanh and Tan Thanh Towns; North borders Hoa Lu District.
7. Establishing Ninh Phong Town under the city of Ninh Binh based on the entire natural area and population of Ninh Phong Commune.
Ninh Phong Town has 539.16 hectares of natural area and 7,701 inhabitants.
The administrative boundary of Ninh Phong Town: East borders Ninh Son Commune; West borders Nam Thanh Town, Ninh Tien Commune, and Hoa Lu District; South borders Hoa Lu District; North borders Nam Thanh and Nam Binh Towns and Ninh Son Commune.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ninh Binh Province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
