Decree No. 58/2019/NĐ-CP stipulates the levels of preferential allowances for persons who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution.

Regulations on the level of preferential allowances

for persons who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution

          On the basis of the Government Organization Law dated June 19, 2015;

          On the basis of the Ordinance on Preferential Treatment for Persons Who Have Rendered Meritorious Service to the Revolution dated June 29, 2005; the Ordinance dated June 7 16, 2012 amending and supplementing certain articles of the Ordinance on Preferential Treatment for Persons Who Have Rendered Meritorious Service to the Revolution;

          On the basis of Resolution No. 70/2018/QH14 dated November 9, 2018 of the National Assembly on the state budget for 2019;

          At the proposal of the Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs;

          The Government promulgates this Decree regulating the levels of preferential allowances for persons who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution.

Article 1. Standard level for determining the levels of preferential allowances for persons who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution and the levels of allowances

1. The standard level for determining the levels of preferential allowances for persons who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution as prescribed in this Decree is 1,624,000 VND.

2. The levels of preferential allowances for persons who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution include:

a) The levels of preferential allowances for persons who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution as prescribed in Appendix I attached to this Decree;

b) The levels of disability allowances for war invalids and persons receiving benefits equivalent to war invalids as prescribed in Appendix II attached to this Decree;

c) The levels of disability allowances for Class B war invalids as prescribed in Appendix III attached to this Decree.

Article 2. Implementation Funding

The central budget ensures funding for the implementation of the allowance system prescribed in this Decree.

Article 3. Effective date

1. This Decree takes effect from August 15, 2019.

2. Decree No. 99/2018/NĐ-CP dated July 12, 2018 of the Government regulating the levels of preferential allowances for persons who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution ceases to be effective from July 1, 2019.

3. The levels of preferential allowances prescribed in this Decree shall be implemented from July 1, 2019.

Article 4. Responsibilities for Implementation

The Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, heads of government-affiliated agencies, chairpersons of provincial and centrally governed city people's committees are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
