Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of Yên Phong district, Quế Võ district, and Tiên Du district to expand Bắc Ninh city; establishing Võ Cường ward under Bắc Ninh city, Bắc Ninh province
Upon consideration of the proposal of the Minister of Interior Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bắc Ninh province,
The administrative boundaries of Yên Phong district, Quế Võ district, and Tiên Du district are adjusted to expand Bắc Ninh city; establishing Võ Cường ward under Bắc Ninh city, Bắc Ninh province as follows:

THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
1. Adjusting 1,963.45 hectares of natural area and 27,244 population from Yên Phong district (including the entire natural area and population of Hòa Long commune, Vạn An commune, Khúc Xuyên commune, and Phong Khê commune); 2,190.45 hectares of natural area and 18,155 population from Quế Võ district (including the entire natural area and population of Kim Chân commune, Vân Dương commune, and Nam Sơn commune); 1,240.29 hectares of natural area and 14,783 population from Tiên Du district (including the entire natural area and population of Khắc Niệm commune and Hạp Lĩnh commune) to be managed by Bắc Ninh city.
DECREE:
Article 1. 2. Establishing Võ Cường ward under Bắc Ninh city based on the entire natural area and population of Võ Cường commune. Võ Cường ward has 795.36 hectares of natural area and 14,998 population. The administrative boundary of Võ Cường ward: East borders Đại Phúc ward and Khắc Niệm commune; West borders Phong Khê commune; South borders Liên Bão commune; North borders Ninh Xá ward, Kinh Bắc ward, and Khúc Xuyên commune. After adjusting the administrative boundaries: Bắc Ninh city has 8,028.19 hectares of natural area and 150,331 population, with 19 subordinate administrative units, including wards: Đáp Cầu, Thị Cầu, Vũ Ninh, Suối Hoa, Tiền An, Ninh Xá, Vệ An, Kinh Bắc, Đại Phúc, Võ Cường, and communes: Kim Chân, Vân Dương, Nam Sơn, Hạp Lĩnh, Khắc Niệm, Phong Khê, Khúc Xuyên, Vạn An, Hòa Long. The administrative boundary of Bắc Ninh city: East borders Quế Võ district; West borders Tiên Du district; South borders Tiên Du district; North borders Việt Yên district, Bắc Giang province. Quế Võ district retains 14,905.55 hectares of natural area and 140,022 population, with 21 subordinate administrative units, including communes: Việt Thống, Đại Xuân, Nhân Hòa, Bằng An, Quế Tân, Phù Lương, Phượng Mao, Việt Hùng, Phù Lãng, Ngọc Xá, Châu Phong, Cách Bi, Yên Giả, Đào Viên, Bồng Lai, Mộ Đạo, Đức Long, Chi Lăng, Hán Quảng, Phương Liễu, and market town Phố Mới. Tiên Du district retains 9,620.71 hectares of natural area and 119,721 population, with 14 subordinate administrative units, including communes: Phú Lâm, Nội Duệ, Liên Bão, Lạc Vệ, Hiên Vân, Việt Đoàn, Hoàn Sơn, Phật Tích, Đại Đồng, Minh Đạo, Tri Phương, Cảnh Hưng, Tân Chi, and market town Lim.
This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations that conflict with this Decree are hereby abolished.
The Minister of Interior Affairs, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bắc Ninh province, and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Minister of Home Affairs, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh Province, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
