Regarding the approval of the overall restructuring and renewal plan for state-owned enterprises in Can Tho Province for the period 2002-2005

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Pursuant to Decision No. 58/2002/QD-TTg dated April 26, 2002 of the Prime Minister on issuing criteria and classification lists for state-owned enterprises and state corporations;

Considering the proposals of the People's Committee of Can Tho Province (Memorandums No. 28/TT-UB dated September 26, 2002, and No. 33/TTr-UBB dated November 27, 2002); opinions of the Ministries of Planning and Investment (Letter No. 6870/BKH-DN dated October 28, 2002), Finance (Letter No. 12373/TC-TCDN dated November 15, 2002), Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (Letter No. 3793/BLĐTBXH-CSLĐVL dated October 31, 2002), Home Affairs (Letter No. 554/BNV-TCBC dated October 22, 2002), and the Central Economic Commission (Letter No. 444/CV-KTTW dated October 23, 2002), as well as the socio-economic characteristics of Can Tho Province,

DECISION:

Article 1. Approve the overall restructuring and renewal plan for state-owned enterprises in Can Tho Province for the period 2002-2005 as attached in the Appendix.

Article 2. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho Province shall be responsible for directing the implementation of the restructuring and renewal of subordinate state-owned enterprises according to the approved content and schedule. Any adjustments or supplements must be approved by the Prime Minister. Enterprises that have not completed their restructuring schedule by the end of 2002 shall transfer their restructuring to 2003.

Article 3. The Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, and related agencies shall cooperate with the People's Committee of Can Tho Province in implementing the Plan.

The Steering Committee for Enterprise Renewal and Development shall be responsible for directing, urging, guiding, and monitoring the implementation of this Plan, and at the same time recommending to

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho Province and the heads of related agencies are responsible for enforcing this Decision./.
