DECREE
Regarding the establishment of towns under the districts of Quynh Phu, Hung Ha, and
dividing the commune of Binh Lang under the district of Hung Ha, Thai Binh province
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the People's Committee of Thai Binh province,
DECREE:
Article 1. Now establish towns under the districts of Quynh Phu, Hung Ha, and divide the commune of Binh Lang under the district of Hung Ha, Thai Binh province as follows:
1. Establish the town of An Bai under the district of Quynh Phu based on the entire natural area and population of the commune of An Bai.
The town of An Bai has 700.18 hectares of natural area and 9,381 inhabitants.
The administrative boundary of the town of An Bai: East borders the commune of An Thanh and the city of Hai Phong; West borders the communes of An Ninh and An Vu; South borders the communes of An Vu and An Thanh; North borders the commune of An Ninh and the city of Hai Phong.
2. Establish the town of Hung Nhan under the district of Hung Ha based on the entire natural area and population of the commune of Phu Son.
The town of Hung Nhan has 864.40 hectares of natural area and 14,495 inhabitants.
The administrative boundary of the town of Hung Nhan: East borders the communes of Tan Hoa and Lien Hiep; West borders the commune of Tan Le; South borders the commune of Tien Duc and the province of Ha Nam; North borders the communes of Tan Le and Canh Tan.
3. Divide the commune of Binh Lang under the district of Hung Ha into the communes of Hoa Binh and Chi Lang.
- The commune of Hoa Binh has 340.44 hectares of natural area and 3,948 inhabitants.
The administrative boundary of the commune of Hoa Binh: East borders the communes of Tay Do and Chi Lang; West borders the communes of Minh Khai and Hong Linh; South borders the communes of Hong Linh and Chi Lang; North borders the commune of Thong Nhat.
- The commune of Chi Lang has 344.25 hectares of natural area and 6,834 inhabitants.
The administrative boundary of the commune of Chi Lang: East borders the district of Dong Hung; West borders the commune of Hoa Binh; South borders the commune of Hong Linh and the district of Dong Hung; North borders the commune of Tay Do.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The People's Committee of Thai Binh province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the heads of relevant agencies shall be responsible for implementing this Decree.
