Issuing National Technical Regulations on
TECHNICAL REGULATION ON CLASSIFICATION AND CONSTRUCTION OF INLAND WATERWAY VESSELS

Pursuant to the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations dated June 29, 2006;
Based on Decree No. 132/2008/NĐ-CP dated December 31, 2008 of the Government detailing implementation of certain provisions
Pursuant to Decree No. 107/2012/NĐ-CP dated December 20, 2012 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Transport;
AT THE REQUEST OF THE DIRECTOR OF THE VIETNAM MARINE INSPECTION AUTHORITY AND THE HEAD OF THE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT;
THE MINISTER OF TRANSPORT ISSUES THIS CIRCULAR ON NATIONAL TECHNICAL STANDARDS REGARDING TECHNICAL REGULATIONS ON CLASSIFICATION AND CONSTRUCTION OF INLAND WATERWAY VESSELS.
Article 1. ATTACHED TO THIS CIRCULAR ARE THE NATIONAL TECHNICAL STANDARDS ON TECHNICAL REGULATIONS ON CLASSIFICATION AND CONSTRUCTION OF INLAND WATERWAY VESSELS.

Article 2. THIS CIRCULAR SHALL TAKE EFFECT FROM FEBRUARY 17, 2014. THE DECISION NO. 16/2005/QĐ-BGTVT DATED MARCH 2, 2005 ON THE ISSUE OF INDUSTRY STANDARD 22 TCN 325 - 04 TECHNICAL REGULATIONS ON CLASSIFICATION AND CONSTRUCTION OF STEEL-HULL INLAND WATERWAY VESSELS OPERATING ON COASTAL ROUTES IS ABOLISHED.
Article 3. THE HEAD OF THE MINISTRY’S OFFICE, THE HEAD OF THE MINISTRY’S INSPECTORATE, THE DIRECTORS OF MINISTRY DEPARTMENTS, THE DIRECTOR OF THE VIETNAM MARINE INSPECTION AUTHORITY, THE HEADS OF MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT SUBORDINATE ORGANIZATIONS, AND ASSOCIATED ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPLEMENTING THIS CIRCULAR./.
