DECREE NO. 61-CP OF SEPTEMBER 7, 1995 ON THE DIVISION OF COMMUNES AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF NEW DISTRICTS IN THE PROVINCE OF DAK LAK
ESTABLISH A NEW DISTRICT BELONGING TO THE PROVINCE OF ĐẮK LẮK
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
CONSIDERING THE PROPOSAL OF THE CHAIRMAN OF THE PEOPLE'S COMMITTEE OF DAK LAK PROVINCE AND THE MINISTER, HEAD OF THE ORGANIZATION-CADRES DEPARTMENT OF THE GOVERNMENT,
DECREE:
Article 1.- NOW, THE GOVERNMENT DECIDES AS FOLLOWS:
1. TO DIVIDE COMMUNE EA BUNG IN EASUP DISTRICT INTO COMMUNE EA BUNG AND COMMUNE YA TOM.
COMMUNE EA BUNG (NEW) HAS AN AREA OF 23,080 HA AND A POPULATION OF 2,731, INCLUDING VILLAGES 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, AND 6.
BOUNDARIES OF COMMUNE EA BUNG: EAST ADJACENT TO COMMUNE EA SUPE; WEST ADJACENT TO THE VIETNAM-CAMBODIA BORDER; SOUTH ADJACENT TO COMMUNES KRONG NA AND EA SUPE; NORTH ADJACENT TO COMMUNE YA TOM.
COMMUNE YA TOM HAS AN AREA OF 18,200 HA AND A POPULATION OF 3,137, INCLUDING VILLAGES 7, 8, 9, 10, AND 11.
BOUNDARIES OF COMMUNE YA TOM: EAST ADJACENT TO COMMUNES EA ROEK AND EA LE; WEST ADJACENT TO COMMUNE EA BUNG AND THE VIETNAM-CAMBODIA BORDER; SOUTH ADJACENT TO COMMUNE EA BUNG; NORTH ADJACENT TO COMMUNE EA ROEK.
2. TO ESTABLISH BUON DON DISTRICT BASED ON COMMUNES CUOR KNYA, EA BAR, EA HUAR, EA NUOL, EA WER, AND KRONG NA IN EASUP DISTRICT.
BUON DON DISTRICT HAS AN AREA OF 141,878 HA AND A POPULATION OF 35,865.
BOUNDARIES OF BUON DON DISTRICT: EAST ADJACENT TO CUMGA DISTRICT AND BUON MA THUOT CITY; WEST ADJACENT TO THE VIETNAM-CAMBODIA BORDER; SOUTH ADJACENT TO BUON MA THUOT CITY AND CUJUT DISTRICT; NORTH ADJACENT TO EASUP DISTRICT.
EASUP DISTRICT REMAINS WITH AN AREA OF 176,150 HA AND A POPULATION OF 14,350, INCLUDING COMMUNES: EA SUPE, EA LE, EA BUNG, EA ROEK, AND YA TOM.
Article 2.- THIS DECREE SHALL TAKE EFFECT FROM THE DATE OF ISSUE. ALL PREVIOUS REGULATIONS CONTRARY TO THIS DECREE ARE ABROGATED.
Article 3.- THE CHAIRMAN OF THE PEOPLE'S COMMITTEE OF DAK LAK PROVINCE AND THE MINISTER, HEAD OF THE ORGANIZATION-CADRES DEPARTMENT OF THE GOVERNMENT ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPLEMENTING THIS DECREE.
