GOVERNOR OF THE STATE BANK OF VIETNAM
Pursuant to the Law on the State Bank of Vietnam No. 01/1997/QH10 dated December 12, 1997;
On the basis of the Cua Lo Agreement dated August 23, 1999, between the Government of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam;
On the basis of the guidance of the Prime Minister in Official Letter No. 1122/VPCP-KTTH dated March 21, 2001;
At the proposal of the Director of the Foreign Exchange Management Department,
DECISION:
Article 1. Continue to implement the temporary payment mechanism using Vietnamese dong and Lao kip between Vietnam and Laos according to Decision No. 245/2000/QĐ-NHNN7 dated August 2, 2000 of the Governor of the State Bank until December 31, 2001.
Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of signature. All provisions contrary to this Decision shall be abolished.
Article 3. The Heads of the Office, the Department Heads of the Foreign Exchange Management Department, the Heads of units under the State Bank, the Governors of the State Bank Branches in provinces and centrally governed cities, the General Directors of the Vietnam Investment and Development Bank, and the Directors of the Lao-Viet Joint Venture Bank Branches in Vietnam are responsible for guiding and implementing this Decision.
