Regarding the issuance of the National List of Projects for Foreign Direct Investment during the period 2001-2005

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Pursuant to the Law on Foreign Investment in Vietnam dated November 12, 1996, and the Law Amending and Supplementing Certain Provisions of the Law on Foreign Investment No. 18/2000/QH10 dated June 9, 2000;

Pursuant to Resolution No. 09/2001/NQ-CP dated August 28, 2001 of the Government on enhancing attraction and improving the effectiveness of foreign direct investment during the period 2001-2005;

At the proposal of the Minister of Planning and Investment.

Article 1. The National List of Projects for Foreign Direct Investment during the period 2001-2005 is hereby issued together with this Decision. This List may be supplemented as required by the development process.

Article 2. Based on this List, relevant Ministries, sectors, and localities shall cooperate with the Ministry of Planning and Investment to develop project summaries as a basis for investment promotion. The Ministry of Planning and Investment shall coordinate with relevant Ministries, sectors, and localities to establish an annual promotion list, and in the immediate term, it is necessary to urgently establish a list of priority projects for promotion in 2002.

Article 3. THIS DECISION SHALL TAKE EFFECT 15 DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF SIGNATURE.

Article 4. Ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, heads of government-affiliated agencies, Chairpersons of provincial and centrally-administered city People's Committees are responsible for implementing this Decision.
