DECREE
Regarding the establishment of communes under the districts of Tuy Hoa, Song Ca and division of the district
Tuy Hoa into Dong Hoa district and Tay Hoa district, Phu Yen province
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior Affairs and the People's Committee of Phu Yen province,
DECREE:
Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries are adjusted to establish communes under the districts of Tuy Hoa, Song Ca, and divide the district of Tuy Hoa into Dong Hoa district and Tay Hoa district, Phu Yen province, as follows:
1. Divide Son Thanh commune under Tuy Hoa district into Son Thanh Dong commune and Son Thanh Tay commune.
- Son Thanh Dong commune has 5,656.90 hectares of natural area and 8,650 population.
Administrative boundary of Son Thanh Dong commune: East borders communes Hoa Phu and Hoa My Tay; West borders Son Thanh Tay commune; South borders Hoa My Tay commune and Song Hinh district; North borders districts Son Hoa and Phu Hoa.
- Son Thanh Tay commune has 12,441.10 hectares of natural area and 4,008 population.
Administrative boundary of Son Thanh Tay commune: East borders Son Thanh Dong commune; West borders Song Hinh district; South borders Hoa My Tay commune and Song Hinh district; North borders Son Hoa district.
2. Establish Xuan Lam commune under Song Ca district based on 13,038 hectares of natural area and 4,003 population of Song Ca town.
Xuan Lam commune has 13,038 hectares of natural area and 4,003 population.
Administrative boundary of Xuan Lam commune: East borders Song Ca town and Xuan Phuong commune; West borders Dong Xuan district; South borders Xuan Tho 1 commune; North borders communes Xuan Binh, Xuan Loc and Binh Dinh province.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Xuan Lam commune, Song Ca town remains with 1,545 hectares of natural area and 18,470 population.
3. Divide Tuy Hoa district into Dong Hoa district and Tay Hoa district
- Dong Hoa district has 26,959 hectares of natural area and 115,246 population, comprising 10 administrative units including communes Hoa Thanh, Hoa Tan Dong, Hoa Xuan Tay, Hoa Xuan Dong, Hoa Xuan Nam, Hoa Vinh, Hoa Tam, Hoa Hiep Trung, Hoa Hiep Nam, Hoa Hiep Bac.
Administrative boundary of Dong Hoa district: East borders the East Sea; West borders Tay Hoa district; South borders Khanh Hoa province and the East Sea; North borders Tuy Hoa city and Phu Hoa district.
- Tay Hoa district has 61,043 hectares of natural area and 120,617 population, comprising 11 administrative units including communes Hoa Binh 1, Hoa Binh 2, Hoa Phong, Hoa Phu, Hoa My Tay, Hoa My Dong, Hoa Dong, Hoa Tan Tay, Hoa Thinh, Son Thanh Dong, Son Thanh Tay.
Administrative boundary of Tay Hoa district: East borders Dong Hoa district; West borders Song Hinh district; South borders Khanh Hoa province; North borders districts Son Hoa and Phu Hoa.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The People's Committee of Phu Yen province, the Minister of Interior Affairs and heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
