Regarding the establishment of certain wards
under the city of Long Xuyen, An Giang province

THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Considering the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province and the Minister, Head of the Civil Service Organization Department of the Government,
DECREE:
Article 1. The wards under the city of Long Xuyen, An Giang province shall be established as follows:
1. Establish Ward My Thanh based on the entire 1,389.82 hectares of natural area and 24,881 population of Commune My Thanh. The administrative boundary of Ward My Thanh: East borders Commune Hoa An (Chau Mai district) and Communes Binh Thanh and Dinh An (Lap Vo district, Dong Thap province); west borders Commune Phu Hoa (Thoai Son district); south borders Communes Thoi Thuan and Vinh Trinh (Thot Not district); north borders Ward My Thoi.
2. Establish Ward My Thoi based on the entire 2,000.31 hectares of natural area and 19,875 population of Commune My Thoi. The administrative boundary of Ward My Thoi: East borders Communes Hoa Binh and Hoa An (Chau Mai district); west borders Commune Phu Hoa (Thoai Son district); south borders Ward My Thach; north borders Ward My Quy.
3. Establish Ward Binh Khanh based on 628.80 hectares of natural area and 24,820 population of Ward Binh Duc (including groups Binh Thoi 1, 2, 3 and Binh Chanh 1, 2, 3, 4, 5). The administrative boundary of Ward Binh Khanh: East borders Commune My Hoa Hung; west borders Commune My Khanh; south borders Ward My Binh and Commune My Hoa; north borders Ward Binh Duc. After adjusting the administrative boundaries, Ward Binh Duc will have 1,106.80 hectares of natural area and 16,058 population.
4. Establish Ward My Quy based on 472.22 hectares of natural area and 9,983 population of Ward My Phuoc (including groups My Phu, My Quoi, and My Tho). The boundary of Ward My Quy: East borders Commune Hoa Binh of Chau Mai district; west borders Commune My Hoa; south borders Ward My Thoi; north borders Ward My Phuoc. After adjusting the administrative boundaries, Ward My Phuoc will have 369.35 hectares of natural area and 24,459 population.
Article 2. This Decree takes effect 15 days from the date of issuance, all previous regulations contrary to this Decree are abolished.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province, the Minister, Head of the Civil Service Organization Department of the Government, and the heads of related agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
