DECREE
REGARDING THE ADJUSTMENT OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE BOUNDARIES OF CHAU THANH DISTRICT TO REESTABLISH CHAU THANH A DISTRICT IN CAN THO PROVINCE CHAU THANH A DISTRICT
IN CAN THO PROVINCE

Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Considering the proposal of the Chairman Within 10 working days from the date of receipt of the dossier as mentioned in Sub-clause b, Clause 1, Article 3 above, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will review and submit to the competent authority for decision (Issues exceeding the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' jurisdiction will be referred to the Prime Minister for consideration and decision).||| THE PEOPLE'S COMMITTEE OF CAN THO PROVINCE AND THE MINISTER, HEAD OF THE ORGANIZATION-CIVIL SERVICE DEPARTMENT OF THE GOVERNMENT,
DECREE:
Article 1. NOW, THE ADMINISTRATIVE BOUNDARIES OF CHAU THANH DISTRICT ARE ADJUSTED TO REESTABLISH CHAU THANH A DISTRICT AS FOLLOWS:
CHAU THANH A DISTRICT IS REESTABLISHED ON THE BASIS OF 22,139 HA OF NATURAL AREA AND 163,357 POPULATION FROM CHAU THANH DISTRICT. CHAU THANH A DISTRICT INCLUDES EIGHT SUBDIVISIONS WHICH ARE THE COMMUNES: TAM THUAN, THANH XUAN, TAM HOA, TRUONG LONG, NHON AI, NHON NGHI, TRUONG LONG TAY AND TAM PHU THANH. THE ADMINISTRATIVE BOUNDARIES OF CHAU THANH A DISTRICT: EAST BORDERS CHAU THANH DISTRICT; WEST BORDERS PHUNG HIEP AND VI THUY DISTRICTS; SOUTH BORDERS KIEN GIANG PROVINCE; NORTH BORDERS O MON DISTRICT. AFTER THE ADJUSTMENT OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE BOUNDARIES TO REESTABLISH CHAU THANH A DISTRICT, CHAU THANH DISTRICT HAS 18,851 HA OF NATURAL AREA AND 121,689 POPULATION, INCLUDING SIX SUBDIVISIONS WHICH ARE THE COMMUNES: DONG THANH, DONG PHU, DONG PHUOC, PHU AN, PHU HUU AND CAI RANG MARKET TOWN.
Article 2. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong Province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
Article 3. THE CHAIRMAN OF THE PEOPLE'S COMMITTEE OF CAN THO PROVINCE, THE MINISTER, HEAD OF THE ORGANIZATION-CIVIL SERVICE DEPARTMENT OF THE GOVERNMENT AND THE HEADS OF THE RELATED AUTHORITIES SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THIS DECREE./.
