MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT
Regarding the issuance of the list of diseases that must be declared as epidemics; dangerous animal diseases; diseases for which compulsory preventive measures must be applied
For the purpose of implementing Decree No. 33/2005/NĐ-CP dated March 15, 2005 of the Government detailing certain provisions of the Animal Health Ordinance;
THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT
Pursuant to the Veterinary Law dated April 29, 2004;
This Decision hereby issues the list of diseases that must be declared as epidemics, dangerous animal diseases; diseases for which compulsory preventive measures must be applied.
Pursuant to Decree No. 86/2003/NĐ-CP dated July 18, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;
At the proposal of the Director of the Animal Health Department,
DECISION:
Article 1. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette and shall replace Decision No. 1242/NN-TY-QĐ dated July 24, 1996 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on the issuance of the list of animal diseases that must be compulsorily vaccinated, declared as epidemics, regularly inspected, prohibited from being slaughtered, and compulsorily culled or slaughtered.
Article 2. The Director of the Department of Animal Health, heads of units, organizations, and individuals concerned are responsible for implementing this Decision.

1. Diseases listed in Category A of the World Animal Health Law
1.1. Foot-and-mouth disease;

1.4. Rinderpest;
1.5. Blue tongue;
1.6. Newcastle disease;
1.7. Sheep pox, Goat pox;
