Decree No. 64/2006/NĐ-CP On Adjusting the Administrative Boundaries of Communes and Wards of Ha Giang City and Vi Xuyen District, Ha Giang Province

DECREE

Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes and wards in Ha Giang City and Vi Xuyen District, Ha Giang Province
và huyện Vị Xuyên, tỉnh Hà Giang

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the People's Committee of Ha Giang Province.

DECREE

Article 1. The administrative boundaries of communes and wards in Ha Giang City and Vi Xuyen District, Ha Giang Province shall be adjusted as follows:

1. Adjustment of the administrative boundaries of communes and wards in Ha Giang City as follows:

- Adjusting the entire 4,350 hectares of natural area and 5,231 population of Phu Linh Commune; 3,050 hectares of natural area and 2,353 population of Kim Thach Commune; 3,590 hectares of natural area and 2,529 population of Kim Linh Commune, all belonging to Ha Giang City, to be managed by Vi Xuyen District.

- Adjusting 103.4 hectares of natural area and 77 population of Quang Trung Ward, Ha Giang City, to be managed by Phong Quang Commune, Vi Xuyen District.

2. Adjustment of the administrative boundaries of communes in Vi Xuyen District as follows:

Adjusting the entire 4,303 hectares of natural area and 3,515 population of Phuong Du Commune; 3,219 hectares of natural area and 3,227 population of Phuong Thien Commune, both belonging to Vi Xuyen District, to be managed by Ha Giang City.

3. After the adjustment of administrative boundaries:

- Quang Trung Ward, Ha Giang City has 1,005.6 hectares of natural area and 3,605 population.

- Ha Giang City has 13,025.6 hectares of natural area and 40,058 population, with 8 subordinate administrative units including Wards: Quang Trung, Nguyen Trai, Tran Phu, Minh Khai, Ngoc Ha and Communes: Ngoc Duong, Phuong Thien, Phuong Du.

- Phong Quang Commune, Vi Xuyen District has 3,478.4 hectares of natural area and 1,855 population.

- Vi Xuyen District has 148,750.4 hectares of natural area and 91,825 population, with 24 subordinate administrative units including Communes: Tung Ba, Thuan Hoa, Minh Tan, Phong Quang, Thanh Thuy, Thanh Duc, Lao Chai, Xin Chai, Phuong Tien, Cao Bo, Dao Duc, Trung Thanh, Ngoc Linh, Ngoc Minh, Bach Ngoc, Linh Ho, Viet Lam, Quang Nan, Thuan Son, Phu Linh, Kim Thach, Kim Linh and Towns: Vi Xuyen, Viet Lam State Farm.

Article 2. This Decree takes effect 15 days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations that conflict with this Decree are hereby abolished.

Article 3. The Minister of Interior, the People's Committee of Ha Giang Province, and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
