 DECREE

Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries to establish communes and towns

located in the districts of Quan Son, Muong Lat, Nhu Xuan, and Tho Xuan, Thanh Hoa province

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;

Considering the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province and the Minister, Head of the Organization-Cadre Department of the Government.

DECREE:

Article 1. Now establish communes and towns in the districts of Quan Son, Muong Lat, Nhu Xuan, and Tho Xuan, Thanh Hoa province as follows:

1. Establish Na Meo commune in Quan Son district based on 12,195 hectares of natural area and 2,605 population from Son Thuy commune.

Administrative boundary of Na Meo commune: East borders Son Thuy and Son Dien communes, West borders the Lao People's Democratic Republic, South borders Son Dien commune, North borders Son Thuy commune.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries of Son Thuy commune, it has 13,175 hectares of natural area and 2,981 population.

2. Establish Muong Min commune in Quan Son district based on 8,190 hectares of natural area and 2,115 population from Son Dien commune.

Administrative boundary of Muong Min commune: East borders Son Dien commune, West borders Son Thuy commune, South borders the Lao People's Democratic Republic, North borders Son Thuy commune.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries of Son Dien commune, it has 10,355 hectares of natural area and 4,287 population.

3. Establish Muong Ly commune in Muong Lat district based on 12,009 hectares of natural area and 3,874 population from Trung Ly commune.

Administrative boundary of Muong Ly commune: East borders Trung Ly commune, West borders Tam Chung commune, South borders Trung Ly commune, North borders Son La province.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries of Trung Ly commune, it has 16,230 hectares of natural area and 4,263 population.

4. Establish Thanh Hoa commune in Nhu Xuan district based on 9,187 hectares of natural area and 1,813 population from Thanh Phong commune.

Administrative boundary of Thanh Hoa commune: East borders Thanh Lam and Xuan Quy communes, West borders Nghe An province, South borders Xuan Binh commune, North borders Thanh Phong commune.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries of Thanh Phong commune, it has 2,788 hectares of natural area and 2,525 population.

5. Dissolve the Sao Vang farm town in Tho Xuan district and establish Sao Vang town based on 4,950 population managed by the Sao Vang farm town, 102.5 hectares of natural area of Tho Lan commune, and 186.5 hectares of natural area of Xuan Thang commune.

Sao Vang town has 289 hectares of natural area and 4,950 population.

Administrative boundary of Sao Vang town: East borders Xuan Hung commune, West borders Tho Lan commune, South borders Xuan Thang commune, North borders Tho Lan commune.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries:

- Tho Lan commune has 2,150.5 hectares of natural area and 7,797 population.

- Xuan Thang commune has 1,547.5 hectares of natural area and 4,126 population.

Article 2. This Decree takes effect 15 days after the date of signature. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are abolished.

Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province, the Minister, Head of the Organization-Cadre Department of the Government, and heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
