DECISION OF THE MINISTER OF HEALTH
Regarding the issuance of the List of Chemicals, Insecticides, and Disinfectants permitted for registration for use, permitted for registration but restricted in use, and prohibited from use in the domestic and medical fields in Vietnam in 2000.

Based on Decree No. 68/CP dated October 11, 1993 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;
Based on Decision No. 197/1998/QĐ-TTg dated October 10, 1998 of the Prime Minister delegating the Ministry of Health to be responsible for state management of chemicals, insecticides, and disinfectants used in the domestic and medical fields;
Based on Decision No. 1654/1999/QĐ-BYT dated May 29, 1999 of the Minister of Health promulgating the Regulations on Management of Chemicals, Insecticides, and Disinfectants Used in the Domestic and Medical Fields;
At the proposal of the Director of the Preventive Medicine Department - Ministry of Health;
DECISION:
Article 1. Issued together with this Decision is the List of Chemicals, Insecticides, and Disinfectants permitted for registration for use, permitted for registration but restricted in use, and prohibited from use in the domestic and medical fields in 2000, including:
1. The List of Chemicals and Insecticides Permitted for Registration for Use in the Domestic and Medical Fields (Table 1) includes: 24 chemicals with 81 trade names.
2. The List of Chemicals and Insecticides Permitted for Registration but Restricted in Use in the Domestic and Medical Fields (Table 2) includes 8 chemicals.
3. The List of Chemicals and Insecticides Prohibited from Use in the Domestic and Medical Fields (Table 3) includes 17 chemicals with 84 trade names.
4. The List of Disinfectants Permitted for Registration for Use in the Domestic and Medical Fields (Table 4) includes 17 chemicals with 29 trade names.
Article 2. For chemicals and products not covered by Article 1 of this Decision, the Ministry of Health will consider each specific case to grant permission for registration for use.
Article 3.This Decision shall take effect 15 days from the date of issuance.
Article 4.Gentlemen, Ladies: Director of the Office, Inspector General, Heads of Preventive Medicine Department - Ministry of Health, Directors of Provincial Health Departments, Heads of relevant units, organizations, individuals within and outside Vietnam producing, trading, and using chemicals, insecticides, and disinfectants in the domestic and medical fields are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
