Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa Province,
DECREE:
Clause 4 of Article 6Adjusting the administrative boundaries of Cam Ranh city and Dien Khanh district to establish Cam Lam district; adjusting the administrative boundaries of communes to establish communes, towns in the districts of Cam Lam, Truong Sa and expand Cam Nghia ward under Cam Ranh city, Khanh Hoa province as follows:
1. Establishing Cam Lam district under Khanh Hoa province based on the adjustment of 45,726 hectares of natural area and 88,045 population from Cam Ranh city (including the entire natural area and population of communes Cam Tan, Cam Hoa, Son Tan, Cam Hai Tay, Cam Duc, Cam Hiep Bac, Cam Hiep Nam, Cam Thanh Bac, Cam An Bac, Cam An Nam, Cam Phuoc Tay, Cam Hai Dong); 17,590 hectares of natural area and 15,324 population from Dien Khanh district (including the entire natural area and population of communes Suoi Tan, Suoi Cat).
Cam Lam district has 63,316 hectares of natural area and 103,369 population.
Administrative boundary of Cam Lam district: East borders the East Sea; West borders Khanh Vinh and Khanh Son districts; South borders Cam Ranh city; North borders Nha Trang city and Dien Khanh district.
2. Establishing Cam Duc town under Cam Lam district based on the entire 952 hectares of natural area and 10,647 population of Cam Duc commune; 631 hectares of natural area and 4,184 population of Cam Hai Tay commune.
Cam Duc town has 1,583 hectares of natural area and 14,831 population.
Administrative boundary of Cam Duc town: East borders Cam Hai Dong commune; West borders Cam Hiep Bac and Cam Hiep Nam communes; South borders Cam Thanh Bac commune; North borders Cam Hai Tay commune.
3. Adjusting the administrative boundary of Cam Hai Dong commune to expand Cam Nghia ward under Cam Ranh city for management:
- Adjusting 8,934 hectares of natural area of Cam Hai Dong commune to Cam Nghia ward under Cam Ranh city for management.
Cam Nghia ward has 10,509 hectares of natural area and a population of 13,094.
Administrative boundary of Cam Nghia ward: East borders the East Sea; West borders Cam Thanh Nam commune; South borders Cam Phuc Bac ward; North borders Cam Thanh Bac commune, Cam Lam district.
4. Establishing Truong Sa town under Truong Sa district based on Truong Sa main island and nearby islands, rocks, and reefs.
5. Establishing Song Tu Tay commune under Truong Sa district based on Song Tu Tay island and nearby islands, rocks, and reefs.
6. Establishing Sinh Ton commune under Truong Sa district based on Sinh Ton island and nearby islands, rocks, and reefs.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries of districts and communes to establish districts, communes, towns and expand wards:
- Cam Hai Tay commune remains with 1,151 hectares of natural area and 6,345 population.
- Cam Hai Dong commune remains with 3,784 hectares of natural area and 2,553 population.
Cam Lam district remains with 54,382 hectares of natural area and 103,369 population, including 14 direct administrative units, namely communes Cam Tan, Cam Hoa, Cam Hai Tay, Son Tan, Cam Hiep Bac, Cam Hiep Nam, Cam Thanh Bac, Cam An Bac, Cam An Nam, Cam Phuoc Tay, Cam Hai Dong, Suoi Tan, Suoi Cat and Cam Duc town.
Cam Ranh city remains with 31,643 hectares of natural area and 125,311 population, including 15 direct administrative units, namely wards Cam Nghia, Cam Phuc Bac, Cam Phuc Nam, Cam Loc, Cam Phu, Ba Ngoi, Cam Thuan, Cam Loi, Cam Linh and communes Cam Thanh Nam, Cam Phuoc Dong, Cam Thinh Tay, Cam Thinh Dong, Cam Lap, Cam Binh.
Dien Khanh district remains with 33,620 hectares of natural area and 123,940 population, including 19 direct administrative units, namely communes Dien Lam, Dien Dian, Dien Xuan, Dien Son, Dien Dong, Dien Phu, Dien Tho, Dien Phuoc, Dien Lac, Dien Tan, Dien Hoa, Dien Thanh, Dien Toan, Dien An, Dien Binh, Dien Loc, Suoi Hiep, Suoi Tien and Dien Khanh town.
Truong Sa district includes 3 direct administrative units, namely communes Song Tu Tay, Sinh Ton and Truong Sa town.
Khanh Hoa province includes 9 direct administrative units, namely Nha Trang city, Cam Ranh city and districts Van Ninh, Ninh Hoa, Khanh Vinh, Dien Khanh, Khanh Son, Cam Lam, Truong Sa.
12/2025/TT-BNNMT dated June 19, 2025 issued by the Minister of Agriculture and EnvironmentThis Decree shall take effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Minister of Interior, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa Province and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
