DECREE

Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes; establishment of communes, towns

belonging to Hoai An district, An Lao district, Binh Dinh province

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province,

DECREE:

Article 1. Adjusting the administrative boundaries of the communes An Hao, An Hung, An Trung, An Tan to establish the commune An Hao Dong, commune An Hao Tay, and town An Lao under Hoai An district and An Lao district, Binh Dinh province as follows:

1. Establishing the commune An Hao Tay under Hoai An district based on adjusting 2,992.74 hectares of natural area and 4,464 population from commune An Hao.

Commune An Hao Tay has 2,992.74 hectares of natural area and 4,464 population.

Administrative boundary of commune An Hao Tay: East borders commune An Hao Dong, Hoai An district; West borders commune An Nghia, An Lao district and commune An Son, Hoai An district; South borders commune An Tin, Hoai An district; North borders commune An Hoa, An Lao district.

2. Establishing the commune An Hao Dong under Hoai An district based on 3,308.26 hectares of natural area and 8,188 population remaining from commune An Hao.

Commune An Hao Dong has 3,308.26 hectares of natural area and 8,188 population.

Administrative boundary of commune An Hao Dong: East borders commune Hoai Hao and commune Hoai Phu, Hoai Nhon district; West borders commune An Hao Tay, Hoai An district; South borders commune An Tin and commune An My, Hoai An district; North borders commune An Hoa, An Lao district.

After adjusting administrative boundaries:

Hoai An district has 15 subordinate administrative units, including communes: An Son, Dak Mang, Bok Toi, An My, An Tin, An Tuong Dong, An Tuong Tay, An Nghia, An Duc, An Huu, An Thanh, An Phong, An Hao Dong, An Hao Tay, and town Teng Bat Ho.

3. Establishing the town An Lao, the district town of An Lao district based on adjusting 153.25 hectares of natural area and 508 population from commune An Hung; 1,020.83 hectares of natural area and 2,316 population from commune An Trung; 472.12 hectares of natural area and 2,350 population from commune An Tan.

Town An Lao has 1,646.20 hectares of natural area and 5,174 population.

Administrative boundary of town An Lao: East borders commune An Hung, An Lao district; South borders commune An Tan, An Lao district; North and West border commune An Trung, An Lao district.

After adjusting administrative boundaries:

- Commune An Hung remains with 6,594.75 hectares of natural area and 699 population.

- Commune An Trung remains with 6,471.17 hectares of natural area and 769 population.

- Commune An Tan remains with 2,357.88 hectares of natural area and 2,373 population.

An Lao district has 10 subordinate administrative units, including communes: An Toan, An Quang, An Nghia, An Hoa, An Tan, An Trung, An Dung, An Hung, An Vinh, and town An Lao.

Article 2. This Decree takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are abolished.

Article 3. The Minister of Home Affairs, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province, and heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
