OF THE CHAIRMAN
OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM
NO. 66/SL DATED MAY 14, 1950
THE CHAIRMAN OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM
Pursuant to Decree-Law No. 58-SL dated May 3, 1946 organizing the Ministry of Interior,
Pursuant to Decree-Law No. 50-SL dated June 18, 1949 organizing the Ministry of National Defense,
Considering the need for work,
Upon the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Minister of National Defense,
ISSUES THE FOLLOWING DECREE-LAW:
Article 1: The Intelligence Bureau of the Ministry of National Defense shall now be divided into two parts:
a) One part shall merge with the Police Department under the Ministry of Interior,
b) One part shall merge with the Military Intelligence Service under the General Staff of the Ministry of National Defense.
Article 2: The Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of National Defense shall determine the coordination between the two ministries to ensure that:
- The Ministry of Interior provides information and materials for national defense,
The Ministry of National Defense assists the Ministry of Interior in directing the espionage activities of the Police Department.
Article 3: The Ministers of Interior and National Defense shall implement this Decree-Law accordingly.
