DECREE
Regarding the restructuring of the Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Hue University, Thai Nguyen University, and Da Nang University
Pursuant to the conclusion of the Politburo (Notification No. 146/TB-TW dated June 23, 1998);
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Education and Training (Report No. 2860/ĐH dated April 14, 1998) on the two-stage training process at the university level,
Now, we abolish the provisions regarding the organization of general universities in the following documents:
DECREE:
Article 1. 1. Clause 1, Section A, Article 4 of Decree No. 97/CP dated December 10, 1994 on the establishment of the Hanoi National University.
2. Clause 1, Section A, Article 4 of Decree No. 30/CP dated April 4, 1994 on the establishment of Hue University.
3. Clause 1, Section A, Article 4 of Decree No. 31/CP dated April 4, 1994 on the establishment of Thai Nguyen University.
4. Clause 1, Section A, Article 4 of Decree No. 32/CP dated April 4, 1994 on the establishment of Da Nang University.
5. Clause a, Section 1, Article 4 of Decree No. 16/CP dated January 27, 1995 on the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh City National University. The Minister of Education and Training shall be responsible for guiding and directing the implementation of this Decree, ensuring stability and quality of education at the aforementioned universities.
Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies under the Government, Chairpersons of provincial People's Committees directly under the Central Government related to this matter, Directors of the Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Hue University, Thai Nguyen University, and Da Nang University are responsible for enforcing this Decree./.
Article 2. The Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies under the Government, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities are responsible for implementing this Decree.
Article 3. The Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government agencies, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities directly under the central government, Rectors of Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Hue University, Thai Nguyen University, Da Nha University shall be responsible for implementing this Decree./.
