Regarding the establishment of the National Institute of Oral and Maxillofacial Sciences under the Ministry of Health

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Pursuant to the Government Decree No. 86/2002/NĐ-CP dated November 5, 2002, stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of ministries and ministerial-level agencies;

Pursuant to the Government Decree No. 49/2003/NĐ-CP dated May 15, 2003, stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Health and the Minister of Home Affairs.

Article 1. Establish the National Institute of Oral and Maxillofacial Sciences under the Ministry of Health based on the former Hanoi Institute of Oral and Maxillofacial Sciences.

The National Institute of Oral and Maxillofacial Sciences is a service unit with revenue, having legal personality; it has its own seal; it is allowed to open an account at the State Treasury; it receives funding from the state budget; its headquarters is located in Hanoi City.

The English name for the National Institute of Oral and Maxillofacial Sciences is: National Institute of Odonto-Stomatology Vietnam (abbreviated as NIOS).

Article 2. The Minister of Health shall specify in detail the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the National Institute of Oral and Maxillofacial Sciences.

Article 3. This Decision takes effect fifteen days from the date of signature.

The Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government agencies, Chairpersons of provincial People's Committees under the direct jurisdiction of the central government shall be responsible for implementing this Decision./.
