DECISION

Regarding the registration of three types of plant protection chemicals on a special basis

into the list of chemicals permitted for use in Vietnam

THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT


Pursuant to Decree No. 73/CP dated November 1, 1995 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;

Considering the proposal of the Director of the Science, Technology and Product Quality Department and the Director of the Plant Protection Department.

a. Approve the formal registration of five types of products (including three herbicides and two plant growth regulators) into the list of plant protection products permitted for use in Vietnam (attached list).

DECISION:

Article 1. To register three types of chemicals on a special basis into the list of plant protection chemicals permitted for use in Vietnam (attached list).

Article 2. The export and import of the plant protection chemicals issued together with this decision shall be carried out in accordance with Circular No. 62/2001/TT-BNN dated June 5, 2001 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development guiding the export and import of goods under specialized agricultural management pursuant to Decision No. 46/2001/QĐ-TTg dated April 4, 2001 of the Prime Minister on the management of export and import of goods during the period from 2001 to 2005.

Article 3. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of signature.

The Plant Protection Department shall be responsible for providing detailed guidance on safe and effective use of the aforementioned plant protection chemicals.

Article 4. The Director of the Ministry's Office, the Director of the Plant Protection Department, the Head of the Science and Technology Department, the Heads of units under the Ministry, and domestic organizations and individuals, as well as foreign individuals managing, producing, trading, and using plant protection chemicals in Vietnam shall be responsible for implementing this decision.
