Decree No. 69/CP Regarding the Establishment of Tay Ho District in Hanoi City

DECREE

Regarding the establishment of Tay Ho District under Hanoi City 

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;

DECREE:

Article 1. Now, Tay Ho District and the wards under Tay Ho District of Hanoi City are established as follows:

1. Establish Tay Ho District based on the wards: Buoi, Thuy Khue, Yen Phu of Ba Dinh District and the communes: Tu Lien, Nhat Tan, Quang An, Xuan La, Phu Thuong of Tu Liem District.

2. Establish the wards: Tu Lien, Nhat Tan, Quang An, Xuan La, Phu Thuong under Tay Ho District based on the old communes Tu Lien, Nhat Tan, Quang An, Xuan La, Phu Thuong.

Ward Tu Lien has a natural area of 351.1 hectares and a population of 4480;

Ward Nhat Tan has a natural area of 103.5 hectares and a population of 6914;

Ward Quang An has a natural area of 345.8 hectares and a population of 4796;

Ward Xuan La has a natural area of 217.7 hectares and a population of 6386;

Ward Phu Thuong has a natural area of 601.6 hectares and a population of 7386;

3. Tay Ho District has a natural area of 2042.7 hectares and a population of 69,713; including 8 wards: Buoi, Thuy Khue, Yen Phu, Tu Lien, Nhat Tan, Quang An, Xuan La, Phu Thuong.

The boundary of Tay Ho District: to the East borders Gia Lam District and Ba Dinh District; to the West borders Tu Liem District; to the South borders Ba Dinh District; to the North borders Dong Anh District.

After the adjustment of administrative boundaries:

Ba Dinh District retains a natural area of 909 hectares and a population of 170,348, including 12 wards: Phuc Xa, Nguyen Trung Truc, Truc Bach, Quan Thanh, Cong Vi, Cau Giay, Ngoc Ha, Kim Ma, Doi Can, Dien Bien, Giang Vo, Thanh Cong.

Tu Liem District retains a natural area of 8,870 hectares and a population of 288,023, including 24 administrative units which are the communes: Dich Vong, Yen Hoa, Trung Hoa, Nhan Chinh, Co Nhue, Xuan Phuong, Tay Mo, Dai Mo, Phu Dien, Tay Tuu, Thuan Cat, Lien Mac, Thuy Phuong, Dong Ngac, Xuan Ding, Me Tri, Minh Khai, My Dinh, Trung Van, and the market towns: Cau Giay, Nghia Do, Cau Dien, Mai Dich, Nghia Tan.

Article 2. This Decree takes effect from the date of signature. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are abolished.

Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Hanoi City and the Minister, Head of the Civil Service Organization Department of the Government are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
