THE MINISTER OF LABOR, WAR INVALIDS AND SOCIAL AFFAIRS

- Pursuant to the Law on Government Organization dated September 30, 1992;

- Pursuant to Decree No. 15/CP dated March 2, 1993 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, and powers of Ministries and equivalent agencies;

- Pursuant to Decree No. 96/CP dated December 7, 1993 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs;

- Pursuant to Decree No. 17/2001/NĐ-CP dated May 4, 2001 of the Government regarding the issuance of regulations on management and utilization of official development assistance (ODA);

- Pursuant to Circular No. 211/CP-QHQT dated March 20, 2001 of the Government assigning the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to be the lead agency of Vietnam for implementing the project "Combating Trafficking in Women and Children in the Mekong Subregion";

- Pursuant to Document No. 1732 BKH/KTĐN dated March 27, 2001 of the Ministry of Planning and Investment requesting the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to approve the project "Combating Trafficking in Women and Children in the Mekong Subregion";

- Considering the proposal of the Director of the Department of International Relations, the Director of the Anti-Social Evils Bureau, and the Director of the Department of Planning and Finance,

Article 1.

Article 1 Approves the project "Combating Trafficking in Women and Children in the Mekong Subregion" funded by the International Labour Organization with a budget allocated for Vietnam of 471,410 USD (US dollars) over a period of two years.

The counterpart funds within the national budget for implementing the project shall be sourced from the annual budget of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs as provided by the State Budget Law.

Article 2.

Assigns the Anti-Social Evils Bureau to organize and implement this project.

The Anti-Social Evils Bureau is responsible for coordinating with ILO experts and relevant domestic and foreign agencies and organizations to operate the project in accordance with its objectives, within the specified timeframe, and effectively.

Article 3.

This Decision shall take effect from the date of signing.

The Heads of the Ministry's Office, the Director of the Department of International Relations, the Director of the Anti-Social Evils Bureau, the Director of the Department of Planning and Finance, and the heads of related units are responsible for enforcing this Decision./.
