Decree No. 70/1999/NĐ-CP adjusts administrative boundaries to split and establish new wards and towns in Pleiku City and Mang Yang District, Gia Lai Province. The newly established wards include Tay Son from Hoa Lu Ward, Ia Kring from Dien Hong Ward; and Kon Dơng Town from Kon Dơng Commune. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after the date of signature.

Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries to divide and establish wards and towns under Pleiku city and Mang Yang district, Gia Lai province

THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Government Organization dated September 30, 1992;
Considering the proposal of the Chairman Within 10 working days from the date of receipt of the dossier as mentioned in Sub-clause b, Clause 1, Article 3 above, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will review and submit to the competent authority for decision (Issues exceeding the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' jurisdiction will be referred to the Prime Minister for consideration and decision).Now, we adjust the administrative boundaries to establish wards and towns under Pleiku city and Mang Yang district, Gia Lai province as follows:
DECREE:
Article 1. 1. Establishing Ward Tay Son under Pleiku city based on 154.33 hectares of natural area and 10,112 population from Ward Hoa Lu.
Administrative boundary of Ward Tay Son: East borders Ward Hoa Lu and Ward Hoi Thuong; West borders Ward Dien Hong and Ward Yen Do; South borders Ward Hoi Thuong and Ward Ia Kring; North borders Ward Thong Nhat and Ward Hoa Lu.
After adjusting the administrative boundary, Ward Hoa Lu has 508.17 hectares of natural area and 7,358 population.
2. Establishing Ward Ia Kring under Pleiku city based on 669.72 hectares of natural area and 10,270 population from Ward Dien Hong.
Administrative boundary of Ward Ia Kring: East borders Ward Hoi Phu and Ward Hoi Thuong; West borders Ia Grai district; South borders Ward Hoi Phu and Xuan Phu commune; North borders Ward Dien Hong and Ward Hoa Lu.
After adjusting the administrative boundary, Ward Dien Hong has 165.88 hectares of natural area and 9,503 population.
3. Establishing Town Kon Dong under Mang Yang district based on 1,800 hectares of natural area and 3,081 population from Kon Dong commune.
Administrative boundary of Town Kon Dong: East and West border Kon Yang commune; South border Lo Pang commune; North border Hai Yang commune.
After adjusting the administrative boundary, Kon Dong commune has 7,055 hectares of natural area and 4,498 population.
Renaming Kon Dong commune to Kon Yang commune.
This Decree takes effect 15 days after its date of issuance, all previous regulations contrary to this Decree are abolished.
Article 2. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Gia Lai province, the Minister - Head of the Civil Service Department of the Government, and the Heads of related agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Gia Lai Province, the Minister - Head of the Organization-Cadres Department under the Government, and the Heads of relevant agencies shall be responsible for implementing this Decree./.
