Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries to expand the city of
and establish wards under the city of Tra Vinh, Tra Vinh province
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Government Organization dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tra Vinh Province and the Minister, Head of the Civil Service Department of the Government,
DECREE:
Article 1. The administrative boundaries shall be adjusted to expand the city of Tra Vinh and establish wards under the city of Tra Vinh, Tra Vinh province as follows:
1. Adjusting the administrative boundaries to expand the city of Tra Vinh based on incorporating 1,302.09 hectares of natural area and 14,831 population from communes under Chau Thanh district into the city of Tra Vinh, including:
- 187.13 hectares of natural area and 4,839 population of Nguyet Hoa commune.
- 714.8 hectares of natural area and 4,972 population of Da Loc commune.
- 400.16 hectares of natural area and 5,020 population of Luong Hoa commune.
2. Establishing wards under the city of Tra Vinh as follows:
- Establishing Ward 8 under the city of Tra Vinh based on 187.13 hectares of natural area and 4,839 population of Nguyet Hoa commune; 123.7 hectares of natural area and 2,534 population of Luong Hoa commune.
Ward 8 has 310.83 hectares of natural area and 7,373 population.
Administrative boundary of Ward 8: East borders Ward 9; West, South borders Chau Thanh district; North borders Ward 7 and Chau Thanh district.
- Establishing Ward 9 under the city of Tra Vinh based on 714.8 hectares of natural area and 4,972 population of Da Loc commune; 276.46 hectares of natural area and 2,486 population of Luong Hoa commune.
Ward 9 has 991.26 hectares of natural area and 7,458 population.
Administrative boundary of Ward 9: East borders Chau Thanh district; West borders Ward 8; South borders Chau Thanh district; North borders Wards 5, 6 and 7.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries of Chau Thanh district to expand the city and establish wards under the city of Tra Vinh:
- The city of Tra Vinh has 6,515.69 hectares of natural area and 86,102 population; comprising 10 subordinate administrative units which are Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and Long Duc commune.
Administrative boundary of the city of Tra Vinh after expansion: East borders Chau Thanh district; West borders Cang Long district; South borders Chau Thanh district; North borders Ben Tre province.
- Chau Thanh district retains 43,161.21 hectares of natural area and 134,587 population after adjusting administrative boundaries; comprising 13 subordinate administrative units which are communes Thanh My, Da Loc, Luong Hoa, Nguyet Hoa, Song Loc, Hoa Loi, Phuoc Hao, Hung My, Long Hoa, Hoa Minh, Hoa Thuan, My Chanh and Chau Thanh town.
- Nguyet Hoa commune under Chau Thanh district retains 1,194.17 hectares of natural area and 6,278 population.
- Luong Hoa commune under Chau Thanh district retains 4,574.44 hectares of natural area and 18,108 population.
- Da Loc commune under Chau Thanh district retains 3,787 hectares of natural area and 12,397 population.
Article 2. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong Province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Tra Vinh Province, the Minister, Head of the Civil Service Department of the Government and heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
