DECISION

Regarding special sea allowance for civil servants, officials, workers, and staff on maritime search and rescue vessels

PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Based on Decree No. 204/2004/NĐ-CP dated December 14, 2004 of the Government on salary system for cadres, officials, and armed forces;

Based on Decree No. 205/2004/NĐ-CP dated December 14, 2004 of the Government stipulating the wage scale and wage allowance system in state-owned enterprises;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Transport;

Pursuant to …;

Article 1. Implement a special sea allowance for civil servants, officials, workers, and staff on maritime search and rescue vessels during their direct participation in drills, training, and search and rescue operations at a rate of 110,000 VND/person/day (equivalent to 7 USD/day).

Article 2. The special sea allowance prescribed in Article 1 of this Decision shall be included in the annual state budget estimate allocated to the Ministry of Transport in accordance with the State Budget Law; the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Center shall directly pay such allowance to civil servants, officials, workers, and staff on maritime search and rescue vessels during their direct participation in drills, training, and search and rescue operations.

Article 3. This Decision takes effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette.

Article 4. The Minister of Transport, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the Minister of Finance are responsible for guiding the implementation and monitoring the enforcement of this Decision.

Article 5. Ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, heads of agencies under the Government, and Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
