RESOLUTION

On the attire of defendants at criminal trial sessions

NATIONAL ASSEMBLY STANDING COMMITTEE

Pursuant to the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in 1992, amended and supplemented by Resolution No. 51/2001/QH10 dated December 25, 2001 of the National Assembly, tenth session;

Based on the Law on the Organization of the National Assembly;

Pursuant to the Criminal Procedure Code;

Considering the proposal of the President of the Supreme People's Court,

RESOLUTION:

Article 1. At criminal trial sessions, defendants who are on bail and those who are under temporary detention shall wear civilian clothes, but must ensure solemnity; military defendants who are on active duty shall wear regular military uniforms, but without insignia, rank badges, or proficiency badges.

Defendants who are serving a prison sentence when appearing at trial shall wear designated attire as prescribed by the Government.

Article 2. The Government, the Supreme People's Court, and the Supreme People's Procuracy shall be responsible for guiding and organizing the implementation of this Resolution within their respective duties and authorities.
